Job Description:

Leidos Public Health Portfolio has immediate openings for an AWS Architect to work in support of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The AWS Architect is responsible for working with a diverse set of stakeholders to lead all AWS Cloud Navigation efforts.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Provide technical expertise to for Architecting solutions responsive to federal mandates, priorities, and goals.
  • Develop future-state roadmaps, drive consensus, proof of concepts, demonstrating viable paths to modernizing applications to AWS.
  • Suggest ideas to improve system performance and cost reduction
  • Communicate system architecture to stakeholders and collaborate and coordinate with other developers to adopt new technologies, procedures, and IT standards
  • Influence others to adopt new technical approaches and solutions
  • Effective communication of technical problems and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Working collaboratively with a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Reading and comprehending software requirements, and assisting with estimating efforts

Technical experience:

Bachelor’s and following related experience

  • 8+ years of experience with all phases of systems development lifecycle.
  • Strong analytic, problem-solving skills. Creative thinking skills.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong Technical skills architecting AWS Cloud solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience architecting AWS cloud Solutions and application migration to AWS .
  • Experience in developing application architecture and roadmap in AWS.
  • Experience with building healthcare applications in an Agile framework is aa plus.
  • 5+ years of experience with IT infrastructure, Cyber Security, Data Analytics, Digital Platforms.
  • 3+ years of experience in building DevOps and CI/CD pipeline.
  • Experience in Data Architecture, integration and migration

Ability to Obtain NACI clearance

Preferred CDC experience and local to the Atlanta area

Pay Range:

Pay Range $97,500.00 - $150,000.00 - $202,500.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
