Leidos is making the world safer, healthier, and more efficient. The Defense Group of Leidos has an opening for a Chief Enterprise Architect to work on customer site at Ft. Bragg, NC.
JOB SUMMARY:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the engineering, maintenance and support of core technologies that host business systems including virtual Server Infrastructure, Storage Area Network, Server Operating Systems, Active Directory, Server Hardware and Server Monitoring and Management Technology. This individual will help ensure that the organization's information technology infrastructure is operating securely, reliably and efficiently. The Chief Enterprise Architect will:
Be responsible for all aspects of the design, configuration, deployment and troubleshooting of the following:
All storage platforms within the Enterprise Storage environment
Enterprise IT Systems, automation, cloud migration, and IT/IA Security.
Apply high-level business and technical principles and methods to very difficult technical problems to arrive at creative engineering solutions
Provide technical and analytical guidance to enterprise architecture team.
Direct and participate in high-level enterprise analysis, evaluation, design, integration, documentation, and development
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads and directs large teams with diverse functional and technical disciplines to include enterprise architects, systems engineers, business analysts, and network engineers. Works directly with senior executives of the enterprise to consult, coach, and advise on strategy, business alignment, enterprise architecture, information technology solutions, and the associated impact on the organization and its stakeholders. Coordinates resolution of highly complex problems and tasks, selling new ideas and concepts in support of operational goals and objectives. Provides technical an analytical guidance to enterprise architecture team. Integrates and translates complex concepts into tactical action plans. Directs high-level enterprise architecture analysis, evaluation, design, integration, documentation, and development. Analyzes system and functional requirements and leads design and development activities. Directs multiple contractor and subcontractors teams through to project completion.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education / Experience Level: MA/MS degree in technology related field and 10+ years of in depth, expert level experience in various storage vendor architectures, including design, configuration and troubleshooting of such systems in an Enterprise network
BA/BS degree in technology related field with 12 years of experience may serve in lieu of a MA/MS degree
3+ years of experience managing a team of IT professionals
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interface with military officials, managers, and technical teammates
Possesses extensive knowledge of the DoDAF, the DoD Net-Centric and Data Strategies, the DoD Information Assurance Guidance, and the DoD Federation Strategy, and has had hands-on experience with the Business Enterprise Architecture and Enterprise Transition Plan, Service Oriented Architecture, and the Business Mission Area Federation Strategy and Roadmap
Has a deep understanding of DoD business transformation and processes, DoD organizational structure, experience in developing briefings and responses to GAO, OMB, and executives within the department, and coordinated and developed BEA Compliance Guidance criteria and various BEA evolution strategies
Possess in- depth, expert level knowledge of Enterprise Backup with COOP and various storage vendor architectures
DoDD 8140.01 (Formerly DoDD 8570.01M) cyber workforce certification at IAM Level III, such as ISACA Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or GIAC Security Leadership Certification (GSLC)
Currently possess at least one (1) Computing Environment certification such as:
NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) ONTAP or other professional-level storage certification (such as with HPE StoreOnce or HPE 3PAR StoreServ Systems)
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or other equivalent professional-level networking certification
Role-based Microsoft Certified Expert such as MCSE: Core Infrastructure, MCSE: Productivity, or other equivalent professional-level systems administration certification
VMware Certified Professional (VCP) 2022 or other Professional level virtualization certificate
Currently possess an active TS/SCI
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
IT services management certification, such as ITIL Foundation
Additional Cyber Workforce certifications that qualify for DoDD 8140.01 (Formerly DoDD 8570.01M) cyber workforce certification at IA Workforce System Architecture and Engineering (IASAE) Level II, such as:
CASP CE – CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner
CISSP (or Associate) ISC2 – Certified Information Systems Security Professional
CSSLP ISC2 – Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional
Additional Computing Environment certifications in storage, networking, systems administration, and cloud
Possess extensive knowledge of and hands-on experience with GISA Enterprise Architecture and Transition Plan as well as existing commercial architectures of similar size and scope
Pay Range:
Pay Range $113,100.00 - $174,000.00 - $234,900.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
