SAP BASIS/Middleware Architect
As an IBM Application Architect, you directly help clients transform their business and solve complex problems. You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM platforms. You are a technical leader, serving as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders.
Your Role and Responsibilities
applies senior level expertise/capabilities to deliver BASIS services to client to maintain database integrity, performs database routine maintenance such as UNIX and/or OS patching, table indexing, change pointers, etc., performs technical upgrade, perform analysis of, document, report, escalate, triage and resolve database performance issues. Monitors and maintains database performance, monitors, maintains, and enhances middleware technology. Analyzes, designs, builds, and/or configures activities necessary for the initial build or periodic refresh of components for the SAP environments. Requires privileged access and requires a PAA form and an SSBI (must be clearable).
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 10 (ten) years of SAP/BASIS experience. Must have Middleware experience using webmethods. Applies fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments. Performs work that requires practical experience and training. Must posses technical and strategic experience of increasing responsibility providing software engineering, planning, design, analysis, and developing complex software models and applications across multiple hardware and software platforms. Demonstrates ability to work independently based on the strategic plan or under general direction. Must be able to effectively employ contemporary project management tools and serve as team consultant.
- Minimum Education: Masters or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Math, Business or other related scientific or technical discipline. An additional 4 years of SAP ABAP or equivalent COTS experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree. in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Math, Business or other related scientific or technical discipline.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
• 5+ years SAP MW experience
• Experience in post go-live production support and break/fix
• Focus on customer service and responsiveness, with sound customer handling skills
• Previous knowledge or work experience with CRS/CS/IPAC/CIR Navy Systems

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
