Infrastructure Architect-Cloud Technology Strategy (w/m/x)

Our Infrastructure Architects are responsible for keeping up with the latest and greatest of these changes and using their expertise to deliver solutions that meet the needs of our customers and products.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a Cloud Architect who can help our clients to develop their cloud strategy and architecture. This incorporates development of cloud adoption plans, cloud architectures, cloud application design as well as cloud management and monitoring design. This role is responsible for designing and developing advanced cloud-based solutions for organizations migrating and modernizing their existing workloads and infrastructure. The Architect advises our clients on all cloud computing models, be it public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud. Consulting role* Drive scope definition, requirements analysis, functional and technical design, cloud platform and application build, product configuration, testing, and production deployment* Ensure delivered solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements* Provide technical expertise and ownership in the diagnosis and resolution of issues, including the determination and provision of workaround solutions or escalation to service owners* Ensure delivered solutions are realized in time frame committed; work in conjunction with project sponsors to define and manage scope and risk* Provide support and technical governance, expertise related to cloud architectures, deployment, and operations Cloud Architecture, Design and Development* Demonstrate knowledge of cloud architectures and features such as multi-tenancy, virtualization, elastic scalability, orchestration and automation* Demonstrate knowledge of DevOps tool chains and processes* Act as a Subject Matter Expert to the customers for cloud end-to-end architecture* Develop a library of deployable and documented cloud design patterns* Maintain overall industry knowledge on latest cloud technology trends* Develop solution architectures and evaluate architectural alternatives for private, public and hybrid cloud computing models as well as IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS service models* Contribute to DevOps development activities and complex development tasks* Define optimal design patterns and solutions for high availability and disaster recovery for applicationsRequired Technical and Professional ExpertiseAbility to architect, design and implement cloud infrastructure, platforms and applicationsExperience with scripting/programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Ruby, Go, Bash or PowerShell (preferred but not mandatory)Experience in Chef, Ansible, Puppet, SaltStack or Terraform (preferred but not mandatory)Background in networking, security and data storage engineeringLeadership skillsStrong written and verbal communication, fluent in English and French (optional)Certification as Cloud Solution Architect by AWS, Azure or GoogleExperience: >1 yearsPreferred Technical and Professional Expertise-About Business UnitIn October 2020, IBM announced its intention that the managed infrastructure services business of the Global Technology Services (GTS) organization within IBM will become an independent company (currently known as NewCo) by the end of 2021, creating two distinct and powerful market-leading companies.
