"**Principal Member of Technical Staff - Cloud Engineering Infrastructure Development****Preferred Qualifications**The Application Performance Management (APM) team is part of the Oracle Management Cloud (OMC) organization, determined to automate the work of managing critical applications and computing resources in production.APM is delivered to customers as a cloud native service based on Oracle second generation cloud infrastructure - a modern cloud architecture utilizing modular and scalable micro-services. Our team is developing the next generation Application Performance Management (APM) as a holistic solution that aims to cover all aspects of applications management and quality of service.APM delivers Business Driven Application Management with end-to-end monitoring based on opentracing standards and includes Real User Monitoring, Distributed Tracing Service, Synthetic Monitoring, and application server monitoring.**What you will do:**+ As a Principal Member of Technical Staff in the APM development team you will be working with willing to help individuals representing some of the brightest and most innovative minds in the industry.+ You will be a part of an organization that prides itself on providing training, empowerment, and career progression.+ You will work closely with base teams in the US, India and Europe to ensure proper development of various features.+ Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical and business skills in area of specialization.+ You will work on Cloud projects, involving state of the art technology such as Docker, Kubernetes, streaming services, Oracle Databases, and more.+ Development is done using Scrum teams.The Oracle APM team develops solutions that provide visibility across the vast array of complex, heterogeneous, multi-tiered, distributed applications that companies need to process their information. Going beyond basic monitoring, we collaborate from the early stages of product design to provide a management experience that is richer, deeper, optimized, and well integrated with all other aspects of the IT infrastructure. We provide a unified view of business transactions across all tiers of the composite application. We use advanced technology and innovative methods to efficiently observe, collect, and process performance information that allows administrators to diagnose and correct complex performance issues. The move towards Cloud Computing only increases the strategic importance of integrating management with the application infrastructure - APM is where this is taking place.**Preferred skills/ Experience**We are looking for a developer who is excited to work in this environment, and who will contribute to the existing backend services, as well as participate in the design and development of new such services.
