"Partners with customers, sales, engineering and product teams to design, demonstrate and deploy Oracle Cloud architectures that address customer business problems. Drives Oracle Cloud customer consumption by accelerating the adoption of Oracle cloud services including discovery, design and deployment.Engages with strategic customers, builds leadership relationships at multiple levels within organizations in order to design and implement solutions. Works directly with customers to gather requirements, develop architectures and translates business needs into solutions. May implement solutions and ensure successful deployments through code development and scripting. Displays product/application understanding through highly customized presentation demonstrations to customers, and at conferences, and events. Supports customer from Proof of Concept (POC) through production deployment of services via resource configuration, planning, and customer education/training. Creates and distributes technical assets (white papers, solution code, blog posts, and video demonstrations). Serves as a leading contributor for customers and sales on technical cloud solutions and customer success. Identifies gaps and enhancements to influence engineering roadmaps for customer driven features. Leading contributor, may provide direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. May interact with C level. Maintains expertise by staying current on emerging technologies.Minimum qualifications include: 8 years experience with computer applications and tools required. Ability to travel 50% international and domestic. Preferred but not required qualifications include: Bachelor of Science-level university degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering from accredited university; and/or relevant 8 years technical experience. Advanced degree in relevant field of studies highly desirable. These architects will be on the leading edge of cloud database that can demonstrate and communicate the value of OCI for customers applications.Cloud Solution Architects combine a deep understanding of technology, applications, industry best practices, business processes and architectural patterns to drive IT transformation initiatives that meet the business objectives of our customers.*Responsibilities include:**External:** Partner with customers to craft highly scalable, flexible and resilient cloud architecture using OCI.* Engage with the Sales Representatives and prospect to ensure business needs can be addressed with OCIs go-to market capabilities.* Listen, understand, and analyze the prospects business requirements and compose, validate, and present the best possible OCI solution.* Own and progress opportunities through the qualification, definition, proof/evaluation, proposal and closure stages of the sales cycle with attention to timelines.* Define Proof of Concept (POC) / Proof of Value (POV) or custom demonstration scenarios and map functions of OCI capabilities to prospects needs and lead the technical team through execution.* Participate in meetings and conferences with customers and partners to serve as a liaison between Oracle internal organizations such as Technical Support, Customer Success and Product Development.*Internal:**o Engage with Product Management to participate in the authoring of early stage materials (presentations, solution white papers, customer success stories, and marketing decks) and related business solution demonstration scenarios that highlight Oracles capabilities.o Maintain alignment with Marketing and Product Management of existing and future platform capabilities and help drive product innovation.o Keep up to date with any new OCI solutions.
