PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

As the Enterprise Architect_Integration Architecture, the successful candidate will be responsible for working with highly skilled enterprise architects to develop and deliver Enterprise Architecture strategies focusing on integration, roadmaps and artefacts that direct actions. You will be responsible for working with business and IS leaders in Integration strategy, architecture, and road execution to produce and govern the overall Integration roadmap.

Reporting to the Managing Director of Enterprise Architecture and Innovation you will be a key participant in developing enterprise architecture practice that drives Integration technology modernization and optimization strategies. This position will have responsibility for developing strategies and roadmaps and making decisions and recommendations in certain solution architecture domains clearly aligned with the overall Integration strategies.

The individual in this role should have a strong background in Enterprise Architecture, Integration Technology Delivery and Architecture, People leadership. You are also expected to have a results-oriented mindset, passion for innovation and drive to foster an environment of continuous improvement.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of enterprise architecture strategies and seek ways to apply emerging technologies to assist CP in achieving its business goals and strategies;
  • Accountable for developing and maintaining architectural road map for the enterprise. Monitor progress towards this roadmap and identify changes to initiatives/projects as needed to achieve it;
  • Drive Integration strategy development, including environmental analysis, opportunity identification, value cases and business innovation portfolio development;
  • Develop enterprise technology architectures aligned with overall business architecture;
  • Identify opportunities for the development of technology solutions that combine knowledge of the target business architecture, general technological options, and process facilitation techniques;
  • Conduct solution architecture reviews to ensure enterprise wide information and technology standards are enforced when designing the future-state of business processes and alignment to architecture roadmap;
  • Provide architectural direction to Domain and Solution Architects;
  • Work with the Portfolio management team to ensure that all proposed projects remain aligned with the overall business, information and infrastructure roadmaps.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 10 years of software architecture and integration experience;
  • Enthusiastic contributor, willing to learn new skills, and takes pride and ownership of work;
  • Experience in defining, developing and executing application integration and understanding the interdependencies and interactions between subsystems;
  • Experience in the investigation, recommendations, and resolution of integration challenges;
  • Provide expertise in overall enterprise application integration;
  • Provide leadership to architect an enterprise integration layer working with IT projects;
  • Identify optimization opportunities in CP’s application integration architecture;
  • Work collaboratively with other enterprise architects and IS solution architects;
  • Have a good understanding of large enterprise IT environments. In the best case you have worked with railway/transportation operation applications;
  • Have a deep understanding of enterprise application integration technologies such as EDI, FTP, EAI, ESB, Integration Platform, API layer management, Databases, Queue systems and integration architecture;
  • Analyze and identify IT & OT environments to design and specify data collection, data integration, data validation, and data feed to other downstream applications;
  • Work experience with complex legacy integration environments mixed with SAP and non-SAP, including mainframe, applications;
  • Experience in integrating Cloud and Non-Cloud systems delivering real-time, near real-time and batch data integration;
  • Experience in converting business integration requirement in technical requirements;
  • Well versed in Industry standard formats and protocols like SOAP, REST, JSON, MQ, JWT etc;
  • Experience in public Cloud platforms, SaaS, PaaS etc;
  • Knowledge & Experience in building secure integration channels for internal and external systems, security protocols & encryption techniques;
  • System architecture design and documentation;
  • Conducting stakeholder meetings / solution walk-throughs;
  • Experience with application rationalization processes and option analysis.

Management Conductor Program:
