Infra Ops Engineering Consultant- Storage & Backup

Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India

• Create technical documentation including solution briefs, technical specifications, diagrams, and standard operating procedures as necessary
• Simulate, incubate, and prototype new hardware & software technologies to demonstrate viability of new system architectures. Develop a technical debt mitigation strategy in partnership with other architects on the team

• 8-11 years of experience in architecture or engineering R&D, with demonstrated track record of success
• 5+ years deep experience in high-performance storage systems
• 3+ years Data replication solutions for backup and disaster recovery
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role
• Systems Administration including Linux, Solaris, HP UX, AIX, and Windows systems and related scripting in shell and Python
• Hand on experience in executing POC, SOP development, Public Cloud Backup and Recovery
• Storage infrastructure capacity planning and reporting. SAN & NAS storage (FC, ISCSI, CIFS/SMB, NFS protocols)
• Experience in Commvault / Rubrik / VMWare
Zerto tool experience required
• One or more - HPE 3Par & Primera, Pure storage, NetApp, Dell EMC Power Scale / Isilon, Unity, Cisco MDS, Brocade FC
• One or more- Scripting and development languages (PowerShell, Python, Java, Perl)
• SolarWinds Storage Resource Manager / Visual Storage Intelligence experience preferred
