The Defense Group has a dynamic opening for a MacOS System Administrator with Multi-Media Experience to work at our customer site at the National Maritime Intelligence Center, in Suitland, MD. This is an exciting opportunity to use your expertise to support the Office of Naval Intelligence Command’s production of multimedia products in the planning, development, testing, certification, implementation, and maintenance of current and future Apple and Windows based multimedia systems, applications, and networks crossing multiple domains in the following disciplines: Design, Photography/Production (to include 3D Modeling and Image Enhancement and Display Creation), Reprographics and Video Production.
WHAT WILL YOU DO
•You will take initiative and exercise resourcefulness to identify, research, and resolve technical problems, and provide support to other mission support systems including PC/OSX controllers units for engravers, cutters, DVD duplicators, Lithographic, Photographic, Audiovisual and Video related systems.
•Your support will include installation, upgrades, and maintenance for operating systems and applications; providing supporting data and documentation for systems and applications accreditation processes and change requests; verifying system, application, and configuration changes through testing and change management processes.
•You’ll collaborate with the IT Service Center and Network Infrastructure teams to share and obtain information on routine and non-routine maintenance and troubleshoot common systems, and their interactions with command systems infrastructure.
Specific duties include, but not limited to:
•Use of the JAMF Pro device management software in a mixed environment of Mac OS X and Windows operating systems.
•Configure and maintain Apple Device Management solution of 25 iMac endpoints.
•Create and administer Apple operating system installation and application packages using JAMF and provide patch management for applications and JAMF host servers.
•Create and update scripts (PowerShell and Bash).
•Resolve MySQL database server issues.
•Configure, test, and implement Defense Information Systems Agency STIG requirements in accordance with DoD and Federal Government IT security policies.
•Review of incidents, identify problems, apply problem solving, diagnosis and troubleshooting skills, and address them to resolution.
•Create, update and maintain standards, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and documentation on an ongoing basis.
Your Areas of Knowledge & Expertise (job qualifications)
•A Bachelor’s degree with 7 or more years of related work experience or additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
•Minimum of 5 years’ experience providing engineering support, specializing in Apple hardware and MAC operating systems
•DoD IAT II (e.g., CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP) or higher certification
•A current DoD Top Secret/SCI
•Up to 10% travel may be required
Preferred Qualification (nice to have)
•JAMF certification and/or other Apple Certifications
