About the Role:

As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will be implementing and maintaining new and advanced technologies, providing expert level support services. Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer is essential for ensuring implementing and maintaining IT infrastructure in Ireland. Primary Responsibilities of the Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

  • Design, develop, and implement highly available, multi-region solutions within Microsoft Azure
  • Analyze existing operational standards, processes, and governance, present recommendations to modernize or improve, and then execute on said improvement
  • Build, configure, and manage CI/CD pipelines for resource creation and application development
  • Design and build environments using Infrastructure as Code - using Terraform
  • Migrate existing infrastructure services to cloud-based solutions
  • Manage security and access controls of cloud-based solutions
  • Develop & implement policy driven data protection best practices to ensure cloud solutions are protected from data loss
  • Support cloud adoption of applications as they are being transformed and/or modernized
  • Perform capacity workload modeling and availability analysis for a variety of platforms and environments
  • Perform high-level root-cause analysis for service interruption, identify and implement preventive measures
  • Assist with periodic audits, testing, and remediation in accordance with IT, HIIPA and PCI audit policies

Required Qualifications of the Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer:

  • Expert with Microsoft Azure involving design, deployment, configuration and optimization of IaaS and PaaS solution within a large-scale environment
  • Relevant undergraduate degree or equivalent
  • Proficient with Azure CLI, PowerShell and/or Python scripting to manage resource or similar development experience
  • Experience designing deploying and management Azure resources via IaC
  • Hands on experience with SQL
  • Experience using Terraform
  • Jenkins Experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Agile methodologies
