The Role:

Due to growth within UK programmes, we will need talented Cloud Engineers throughout the course of 2024…

We are on a mission to ensure that Leidos stands out in what is becoming an increasingly popular market place. It means creative solutions to problems using innovative design implementation and testing of systems and services with a focus on scalability and sustainability.

Specifically you will be part of a DevOps team transforming, supporting and maintaining a system of critical national infrastructure to public cloud adhering to engineering best practices.

You will be expected to work closely with team members and the broader programme to transition legacy infrastructure to AWS Cloud. You should be comfortable supporting other team members where required and interact closely with developers and testers.

Highly technical in nature, in your role you will need demonstrable experience of transitioning legacy platforms to AWS.

The legacy platform utilises a wide variety of technologies so you must be flexible and quick to acquire new skills.

Required Skills:

Demonstrable experience of implementing solutions using:

  • AWS with Linux technologies
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a DevOps environment
  • Experience of applying security to all workloads
  • Experience of working with CI/CD infrastructure pipelines
  • Demonstrable experience of automating deployment and configuration pipelines of COTS software and promoting through multiple environments
  • Experience of working Agile teams being aware of Agile methodologies (using Scrum or Kanban)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Candidate must be a UK National
  • Must be able to obtain an SC level clearance

Desired Skills:

  • AWS Qualifications in your area of expertise
  • Experience of working with the Atlassian toolset (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo)
  • Experience with biometric systems

Clearance Requirements:

  • Clearance to Start BPSS
  • Clearance for Role SC
  • You must be willing to undergo SC or DV clearance dependent upon the security requirements for the role
