Leidos is seeking a Senior System Engineer who will be part of a team taking the next step to expand our footprint in the Asia Pacific region. Establishing the Leidos Air Traffic Management (ATM) Research and Collaboration Centre in Singapore enables Leidos to collaborate with regional research institutes and partners to explore and develop new concepts to optimize air traffic management and enhance safety.

• Be at the forefront of next generation ICAO initiatives and programs that will revolutionize air traffic management.
• Challenge yourself to solve problems that are influenced by political, technological, social, economic and environmental concerns.
• Work with a team of driven and forward-thinking individuals in Singapore and the United States

To excel in this position, Leidos is searching for an applicant that possesses knowledge in the following:
• Air Traffic Management principles including expertise in:
o conflict detection and avoidance, Reduced Vertical Separation Minima (RVSM), Trajectory Prediction
o Air Traffic Flow Management principles including surface, arrival and departure management, flow and sequence management; knowledge regarding Asia Pacific strategies is preferred.
o Working knowledge of future ICAO initiatives such as Flight and Flow Information for a Collaborative Environment (FF-ICE), Free Route Airspace (FRA), System Wide Information Management (SWIM)
o ICAO Aviation System Block Upgrades (ASBU)

In addition, the following skills will be invaluable:
• A self-starter problem solver – creating new and innovative approaches to solving complex problems our customers face in the air traffic domain.
• Effective communicator – you will be communicating with customers and colleagues, Expressing thoughts, ideas, and direction in a clear, concise manner is crucial for this role

• Project management – you will be leading projects of various sizes and complexity. Completing them on time and within budget is a steppingstone to success in a competitive landscape.
• Leadership qualities – you will be leading a team of other system and software engineers. Providing clear and effective direction will be key to success.

Qualifications:
• Requires Bachelors of Science degree and a minimum of 12+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10+ years of prior relevant experience.
• Singapore citizenship
• Air Traffic Management domain experience desired
