Position Summary

  • The Manager- Writer and Editor, Enterprise Communications, is responsible for drafting and editing communications for the enterprise workforce, ensuring a unified voice for the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Writes and edits engaging content across multiple channels in alignment with corporate narrative to advance BMS reputation internally.
  • Supports a positive employee experience by creating creative, clear and comprehensive messages that share the value of BMS programs.
  • Collaborate with function partners to understand communication needs reviewed in the calendar of communications.
  • Serves as expert in brand writing standards for enterprise communications.
  • Assists with planning and metrics evaluation, including consideration of how communications drive employee engagement.
  • Supports enterprise-wide initiative communications, and ensures that the global strategy is pulled through to local markets.
  • Partners with editorial teams across Corporate Affairs to identify content opportunities.
  • Understands quarterly myVoice results and company actions and adjusts communications strategy to address challenge.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5 years of corporate communications experience, ideally in a public company. Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry a plus.
  • Superior research, writing, editing, storytelling skills, with knowledge of AP style and a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to vary style to write formal business messages, talking points, and social media posts.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English or related field.
  • Experience working with sensitive, highly confidential content.
  • Experience in matrixed organization a plus.
  • Excels in fast-paced, challenging environment.
  • Self-directed with proven ability to meet tight deadlines and balance multiple initiatives of importance.
