Leidos is seeking qualified Computer Forensic Analyst candidates for a proposal effort. The Computer Forensic specialists will combine computer science with forensic skills to recover information from computers and storage devices to recover data like documents, photos, and e-mails from computer hard drives and other data storage devices that have been deleted, damaged, or otherwise manipulated.
Primary Responsibilities:
Use forensic tools and investigative methods to find specific electronic data, including Internet use history, word processing documents, images, and other files.
Use their technical skills to hunt for files and information that have been hidden, deleted or lost.
Help officials analyze data and evaluate its relevance.
Use expertise to protect computers from infiltration, determine how a computer was broken into, or recover lost files.
Create detailed notes on processes undertaken and develops intelligence-based reporting.
Provide testing and evaluation of emerging trends in digital forensics software and hardware and assist in developing new and innovative forensic processes and procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience conducting analysis relevant to the specific position, with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
Bachelor’s Degree in an area related to the labor category from a College or University; Additional Experience and Education will be required for positions of increased responsibility; Years of Experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree
Knowledgeable of and demonstrates ability to apply IC and DoD classification guidelines and procedures.
Demonstrates ability to develop structured research including, but not limited to obtaining, evaluating, organizing, and maintaining information within security and data protocols.
Demonstrates understanding of intelligence collection capabilities and limitations, to include but not limited to, technical sensors / platforms and human intelligence sources
Demonstrates understanding of evaluation collected intelligence reporting, engaging with collection managers and developing collection requirement.
Certification through the International Society of Forensic Computer Examiners (ISFCE) or the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS) is preferred.
TS/SCI Clearance Required; TS/SCI w/ Poly is preferred
