The Senior Client Analyst’s role is to manipulate and analyze data to support of pre-sale, post sale and operational metrics for prospects and existing clients. The Senior Client Analyst will work with vast amounts of data from multiple sources to provide actionable analytics to our prospects, clients and enterprise. The Senior Client Analyst is responsible for the management and manipulation of mostly structured data, with a focus on building business intelligence tools, conducting analysis, performing normalization operations and assuring data quality. This function includes creating specifications to pass on to the technical team, creating product specifications and models, developing data solutions to support analyses, performing analysis, interpreting results, developing actionable insights and presenting recommendations for use across the company. The Senior Client Analyst role is to partner with stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop tools and models such as segmentation, dashboards, data visualizations, decision aids and business case analysis to support the organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Complete assigned projects by evaluating data requirements, designing analytical studies and delivering reports and results to management
  • Manage large amounts of data, organize, simplify and deliver data in an easy to understand manner
  • Analyze claim data in preparation of pre sale, post sale and operational metrics
  • Create meaningful PowerPoint presentations and robust, scalable dashboards to deliver analytics findings and support business development
  • Work with team members and stakeholders to determine business goals, KPIs, and reporting requirements
  • Utilizing healthcare/claims+remits knowledge, develop new innovations using existing or new data sources to change the way we present analytics
  • Create repeatable data processes to spend more time analyzing and less time collecting
  • Develop creative solutions when data availability or integrity is a concern.
  • Analyze, understand, interpret and explain sometimes complex healthcare claims data trends
  • Research and identify root causes for problems and own the resolution.
  • Responsible for leading others through influence, rather than direct authority, and by building strong cross-functional relationships with key partners
  • Work with team members to plan, implement and configure analytics solutions that match the client's and stakeholder’s needs for reporting and tracking enhancements

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on SQL experience (complex queries, joins, etc.) on relational databases.
  • 5+ years of hands-on healthcare data analysis/profiling.
  • 3+ years of experience analyzing medical claims data.
  • 3+ year of strong experience with a data visualization tools (i.e., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.)
  • At least an intermediate level of proficiency working with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, calculations, pivot tables, charts, graphs, etc. and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Power BI specific experience
  • Experience partnering and working with global business partners
  • Experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle workflows and policies related to access, billing, and claims
  • Understanding the various sources of data, desired data formats and industry-specific data elements (e.g. revenue codes, diagnosis codes, procedure codes, etc.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary/hourly range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary/hourly range for Connecticut/Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
