Associate Director, Data Product Owner

We are seeking a talented, motivated, and self-motivated professional to join our Com’s Human Health Insights, Analytics and Data (HHIAD) organization and play an active
role in our Company's Human Health transformation journey to become the premier “Data First” commercial biopharma organization. As a Data Product Owner, you will be part of the HHIAD Data Solutions team where you will shape the strategy, direct scoping/planning, oversee execution and ensure value realization of data products to enable data science & analytics products and use cases.
In this role, you will leverage strategic thinking, technical knowledge, product management skills, creativity, and knowledge of biopharmeutical data landscapes to partner with HHIAD delivery functions (e.g., data science, visualization, and centers of excellence) and IT teams, develop the product strategy and roadmap, steer cross-functional agile teams/pods and deliver best-in-class data products. In this capacity, you will have the opportunity to drive business value by enabling data-driven insights and decision making across our Company’s commercial division.
Your specific tasks will include:
Translating problems, needs and opportunities into product vision, strategy, and roadmap artifacts, aligned with therapeutic areas and/or strategic initiatives across the HHIAD organization
Driving and facilitating meetings and workshops with stakeholders and senior principals, collect pain-points and opportunities, design and prioritize data product features, and shape the product roadmap to drive execution and delivery
Implement robust refinement practices and customer feedback loops to ensure features and services delivered are aligned with business/user needs
Apply in-depth knowledge of biopharma marketing/commercial analytic problems, methods, data domains/landscapes and industry trends
Direct design, prioritization, and delivery of data products through the software development lifecycle, from concept to testing, deployment, adoption and value realization
Create and manage epics and user stories to ensure delivery teams have well-groomed and prioritized backlogs to meet product objectives, execute on the product roadmap and deliver high-quality, thoroughly tested data products
Drive value-based prioritization of work, manage release scoping in alignment with stakeholders and ensure customer expectations are managed optimally
Apply management skills in facilitating discussions, resolving conflicts and reaching consensus, leading by example and through appreciation
Work objectively under minimal guidance, ensuring alignment with management teams.
Education:
B.S. or M.S. in Engineering or related field, such as Computer Science, Data Science, Business, etc.
Position Knowledge:
Minimum 7 years of relevant working knowledge, with demonstrated Product Ownership experience developing data and analytics capabilities in an Agile framework
Knowledge of working in the pharmaceutical/healthcare/life sciences industry, demonstrating strong knowledge of commercial and marketing analytic domains, as well as relevant datasets and data landscapes (both US and Global)
Knowledge of data engineering capabilities and data science lifecycle; working with data scientists, reporting/visualization developers and data analytics
Knowledge with Cloud-based data & analytics solutions (AWS preferred, or equivalent)
Relevant knowledge of Product Management frameworks/methodologies and System Development Life Cycle
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to quickly establish credibility and trust with a variety of stakeholders
Influencing skills, with demonstrated ability to set direction and direct//motivate teams

Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.
Expected salary range:
$129,800.00 - $220,500.00Available benefits include bonus eligibility, health care and other insurance benefits (for employee and family), retirement benefits, paid holidays, vacation, and sick days. For Washington State Jobs, a summary of benefits is listed here.
