Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Manage Claims Testing
  • Supervise a highly skilled QA Analyst team as they conduct quality assurance procedures and oversees testing execution of source to target data mappings and implement transformation
  • Define and document testing plans, deliverables, resources, training, and strategies
  • Develop and implement new or enhanced testing processes and capabilities
  • Lead Analysis, Development and Execution of Testing
  • Develop, document, maintain and update a far-reaching suite of test case scenarios spanning all aspects of Value Based Care industry data domain knowledge (e.g., membership, claims, clinical and provider data)
  • Analyze systems, operational requirements, processes, and solutions to define the scope and scale of test cases necessary based on the business/system changes being implemented
  • Provide training to testing staff on tools, methods, procedures, documentation, and reporting
  • create, coordinate, and prepare test cases, data, environment access and functionality including test cycles or other dependencies required to execute testing
  • Execute targeted/defined cases through established test processes.
  • Perform multiple phases of test cases and cycles as needed to obtain acceptable test outcomes
  • Lead Oversight, Reporting and Resolution of Testing
  • Evaluate test execution capacity versus production to fulfill testing timelines. If variances, take actions to remediate technical, resource or other testing impediments
  • Assess test case adjudication/outcomes with team staff, area management and supporting partners to determine and report upon test case pass/fail results and associated summary metrics
  • Define and/or coordinate identification of business/systems defects impacting test results. Work with staff across multiple areas to resolve defects and complete retesting
  • Gain approval for completion of testing based on agreed upon results or post-testing/production remediation and re-testing plans

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of experience working in data warehouse, data strategy, data analysis, or a related discipline
  • 4+ years of experience managing large technical teams
  • Experience managing and leading geographically dispersed technical teams
  • Value Based Care industry data domain knowledge (e.g., membership, claims, clinical and provider data)
  • Understanding of conceptual, logical, physical data modeling, data standardization and stewardship, information integrity and compliance, data quality management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Data Warehousing/Mining, ETL/EAI/EII, Data cleansing, security and data access technologies, virtualization, and modern data architecture
  • Full understanding of relational, data vault, and dimensional data models
  • Familiarity with the product development process

Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, or New York City Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $97,300 to $176,900. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada/New York City residents is $97,300 to $176,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
