Responsibilities

The Advanced Analytics team in Enterprise Technology is looking for a Data Analyst to join our team. Our goal is to deliver data-driven insights to our business partners by performing descriptive, exploratory, and/or inferential analysis, including use of statistical modeling / machine learning techniques and tools. The outcome will be to propose solutions and strategies to our customers' difficult business challenges, leading to increased efficiencies and deep understanding of their data.

As a Data Analyst in this role, you will:

  • Extract data from multiple sources, using machine learning tools to organize data, process, clean, and validate the data, analyze the data for information and patterns, and present the data in a clear manner.
  • Utilize analytical, statistical, and programming skills to collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets and then use this information to develop data-driven solutions to difficult business challenges.
  • Partner closely with stakeholders throughout the organization to understand and explore their data-related business problems.

Qualifications

Competitive candidates must have the following skills/experience (2+ years professional experience desired):
  • Experience in Python or R
  • Experience with data-wrangling ability (SQL, SOQL)
  • Experience performing statistical analysis using a variety of techniques such as ANOVA, Chi Square, Linear Regression, Clustering, etc.
  • Experience with AWS, especially SageMaker and querying in Athena

Additional qualities desired:
  • Be an inquisitive and innovative problem-solver, able to see (and solve) analytic problems in real-world scenarios.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate statistical results effectively to a broad audience of business and technical resources at all levels of the organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Data Analytics, preferred.
