We are working on Logging Analytics in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to provide a unified platform to collect, index, store, search, and analyze logs to deliver quick answers on structured and unstructured data. We are looking for creative and motivated engineers, who have experienced the product engineering lifecycle and have faced and solved performance requirements in large scale solutions, to help forge the path by working with a high profile team, offering the opportunity to work with the latest technologies in an environment that encourages big ideas and radical new approaches.As a senior member of our Logging Analytics team you will lead the design and implementation of storing and accessing log data in open-source search engines and storage using technologies such as: lucene indexing, solr, elasticSearch, Object Storage, etc. You will solve complex and interesting problems in the area of distributed computing, high volume transaction processing, and large scale system design. Our success requires us to process over 50 billion log entries a day in a SaaS environment. Our group has some very hard and interesting problems to solve in the area of processing and analyzing large amount of data in real time with distributed systems where data storage span clusters comprising hundreds of nodes.Department DescriptionThe Oracle Logging Analytics service aggregates, indexes, and analyzes all log data from customers' applications and infrastructure to enable users to search, explore, and correlate these data to troubleshoot problems faster, derive operational insights, and make better decisions. Logging Analytics automates the collection of historic and real-time logs from any on-premises or cloud resource. The analytics processing pipeline performs deep parsing, data normalization, and source-specific knowledge enrichment to add value to the customers' collected logs.**Detailed Description and Job Requirements**Designs, develops and programs methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse big data sources to generate actionable insights and solutions for client services and product enhancement.Interacts with product and service teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis and experiments. Develops and codes software programs, algorithms and automated processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources. Identifies meaningful insights from large data and metadata sources; interprets and communicates insights and findings from analysis and experiments to product, service, and business managers.Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years relevant work experience.
