DataFox is looking for a Director-level Data Product Manager to help lead its growing Data Product team.Responsibilities* Take ownership of critical data-related projects and drive them to a successful outcome. Data quality is absolutely essential to DataFoxs product, and so your projects will have a direct and significant impact on the company. Example projects that would be owned end-to-end by the Director of Data Product Management:o Automate real-time company updates through large-scale web crawling.o Lead teams of data scientists and engineers to deploy machine learning models that identify company lifecycle events from structured and unstructured data.o Establish a new offering for corporate ownership change detection using data science and many years of labeled data* Create airtight documentation and processes to ensure projects are completed on time.* Develop a deep understanding of all of DataFoxs data. Become the expert on data, ML and NLP-related questions both internally and externally.* Apply your knowledge and experience with real world value-creating ML and NLP applications to make judgements about prioritization* Build strategic roadmap for major data science-driven product areas 1-2 years out.* Communicate and advocate your vision for DataFoxs data strategy and how it is differentiated from competitors.* Align disparate stakeholders and drive decision-making.* Coordinate on product roll-outs with marketing, sales, customer success, data ops. Be the point person for coordinating projects across various stakeholder teams, some geographically distributed: data scientists, teams of analysts and data specialists, engineering, and sales.* Gather feedback regularly from internal stakeholders, customers, and potential users.* Take open-ended requirements (e.g. improve international company coverage), collect and evaluate different solutions to those requirements (crawl, purchase, manually compile), and work across functions (customer success, sales, product, data tools, data science, and data operations) to structure and implement those projects.RequirementsThis role will break new ground and require solving new problems with many unknowns. Requirements for the role include:* At least 5 years of experience, preferably in enterprise software* Experience in technical roles as an engineer, data engineer, or data scientist* Conceptual understanding and experience with NLP, supervised ML, SQL and noSQL databases, APIs, ETL processesThe following qualities and qualifications are also required:* Self-starter, motivated and ambitious.
