Senior Data Scientist (Remote)

What you'll be doing:<br>Develops, validates and maintains data processing applications within a highly regulated lab environment. Performs data analysis activities required for the successful launch and execution of biomarker solutions across technology applications. Takes on and contributes to projects in a team of data science and bioinformatics team members. Designs, creates, executes, and formulates an integrated analytical approach for AI and machine learning algorithms to facilitate automated processes for reducing effort and time for repeated use and to create novel analyses. Must be able to independently assess and address issues within a project while interfacing with other stakeholders within the business and lab sciences departments.<br><br>Please note that this role can be done remotely.<br><br>ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES<br><br>• Participates in the design, development and validation of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data analysis pipelines or other software applications required for analytical test systems.<br>• Dynamically applies machine learning techniques to both genomic and proteomic data to solve complex issues of both novelty and automation.<br>• Provides data analysis support for assay development and/or validation activities.<br>• Develops and contributes to the validation of applications to support workflows and storage of molecular and clinical data as well as the integration with LIMS systems.<br>• Serves as subject matter expert for software development and/or statistical analysis activities of clinical testing from concept to completion.<br>• Research and co-develop with supervisor new algorithms, methods, statistical models, business models providing insight into structured and unstructured data.<br><br>This position can be based remotely anywhere in the U.S. (there may be some restrictions based on legal entity). Please note that this role would not provide relocation as a result.
