All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, protected veterans status, age, or any other characteristic protected by law.**Principal / Senior Principal Consultant Database Administrator*Within Oracle NATAG Consulting Organization, the practice provides database platform architecture and delivery services to ensure successful implementation of customer solutions involving the Oracle Infrastructure, Oracle Database and Oracle Applications Unlimited product suites.Database Subject Matter Experts are responsible for defining the architecture for database solutions and platform services to configure and manage large Oracle Enterprises, including the Oracle RDBMS (R11, and R12), MySQL Databases (Ver 5-8) and Oracle Applications Unlimited Oracle EBusiness Suite application, PeopleSoft, Siebel or JD Edwards.Services include architecture, administration, migration, maintenance, capacity planning, installations, performance tuning, tech upgrades and designing solutions to meet maximum high availability requirements for clients on Oracle database and Oracle Engineered Systems.*Job Requirements*Job duties are varied and complex requiring independent judgment. May have project lead role or individual contributor role responsibilities. A BS or BA in related fields or equal experience is required. Minimum of 5-7 years overall experience in a technical role as an Oracle Core and Application DBA EBusiness Suite, Peoplesoft, Siebel or JD Edwards Applications. Cloud Technical experience with Database and Applications migrations is preferred.Additionally, two years consulting or project experience in multi-dimensional issue resolution with Oracle Database and/or Oracle middleware technology. Must have the ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written and the ability to build rapport with team members and clients._Required to travel nationally with some international travel_*Additional Details*RESPONSIBILITIES:* Implementing solutions to meet clients performance and MAA/HA requirements.* Administrating software and tools in accordance with the clients requirements.* Administrating and installing Oracle Database or Oracle Applications Suites.* Conducting performance optimization to ensure client SLAs are met.* Evaluating, monitoring and maintaining the clients database and oracle application suites.* Working to ensure that software security and integrity are maintained.* Developing and maintaining an up-to-date knowledge specific Oracle products and services.* Oracle Cloud Certifications are a plus* Oracle Certified Profession (Database) are a plusACCOUNTABILITIES:* Perform server/application audits and performance assessments.* Administer database, application server and application environments.* Tune the database and application to ensure optimum use of resources.* Institute operational procedures to ensure the clients operating environment meets SLAs.* Ensure the database architecture is able to meet the clients ongoing growth needs.* Proactively maintain knowledge of Oracles current and future products/ solutions offerings.* Generate the relevant delivery material, e.g. documents, engagement summaries, white papers, in order to develop and share knowledge with customers and internal Teams.SKILLS/EXPERIENCE* 5 years experience of Oracle Database technology as a DBA* 3 years experience of Oracle Applications Unlimited EBusiness Suite, PeopleSoft, Siebel or JD Edwards as a DBA, including System Administration role.* Database Server and application sizing and capacity planning* Database Server and application tuning for performance and scalability* Oracle Goldengate, Streams replications experience* MySQL Database Admin, installation and upgrades.* SQL/PLSQL performance tuning experience desirable* Maximum/High availability and disaster recovery requirements* Server consolidation and DB re-platform exposure* Database security (VPD, TDE, DB Vault) implementation* System infrastructure knowledge, understanding of Linux (OEL) preferable* Networking concepts and design preferable* Oracle Database and application server internals preferableMust have experience of five (5) or more of the following Database options and Oracle technologies; Oracle MySQL, RAC, DataGuard, GoldenGate, Enterprise Manager, Partitioning, Compression, Exadata, Exalogic, Oracle Linux Operating System, Virtual Machines or Networking, EBusiness Suite or Peoplesoft.Oracle is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
