Do you thrive working in small teams that collaborate closely with customers? The Cyber and Analytics Business Area at Leidos is seeking a motivated cyber subject matter expert to work in a dynamic environment with a team of Cyber Engineers responsible for the development of software for solutions in support of offensive cyber, researching cyber technology domains for trends, researching vulnerabilities or known flaws, recommending new technology solutions that impact strategies, project/program goals and business results. The candidate will recommend and develop new technical solutions, products, and standard’s in support of functions strategy and operations. Experience in leading and mentoring cyber engineers to achieve significant impact on project results/outputs, helping to develop solutions that are highly innovative and achieved through research and expertise in deconstructing a variety of hardware and software, focusing on network devices and technologies, and developing capabilities to utilize the vulnerabilities discovered. Providing technical advice/input that impact strategic client outputs and Leidos business results. Impacts functional strategy by developing new solutions, processes, standards or operational plans that position Leidos competitively in the marketplace. Serve as a technical lead on large, complex projects. Mentors and coaches other technical staff.

We are seeking:

  • US Citizen with TS//SCI Clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems or applicable engineering field and minimum fifteen (15) years of experience in computer science, information systems, network engineering or related field.

What Sets You Apart:

  • Minimum fifteen (15) years of experience in implementing coding foundations in various languages to create tools and techniques, perform code analysis, conduct code manipulation and develop coding solutions tailored to the area of offensive cyber
  • Minimum fifteen (15) years of experience programming cyber tools and/or techniques for the US Government or commercial sector
  • Minimum eight (8) years of experience programming in Assembly, C, C++, and/or Python;
  • Experience performing open source research & vulnerability analysis
  • Experience in malware research
  • Experience in reverse engineering threats to determine methods of exploitation and utilizing reverse engineering tools such as IDA Pro and/or Ghidra to analyze firmware of embedded devices
  • Experience researching innovative tools and techniques, developing malicious payloads, and manipulating code execution.
  • Proficiency in network protocols, routers, and network security

You Might Also Have:

  • Ability to communicate with senior executive leadership (internally or client) regarding matters of strategic importance to the organization/project. Typically negotiates and compromises to convince internal and external parties to accept concepts, practices and approaches of the area.
  • Demonstrated experience programming techniques to evade host and/or network-based intrusion detection systems
  • Demonstrated experience developing programs to capture, analyze, and interpret raw network traffic
  • Demonstrated experience with network sockets programming including developing packet-level programs, expert packet-level understanding of IP, TCP, and application-level protocols
  • Demonstrated understanding of IP, TCP, and application-level protocols
  • Experience developing documentation and reports (analysis reports, test reports, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver briefings, technical presentations, and program documentation to senior program management

Pay Range:

Pay Range $144,300.00 - $260,850.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
