The Defense Group at Leidos currently has an opening for a System Engineering Manager to support the program management team for the Reagan Test Site range modernization effort. The candidate will manage day-to-day operations of a PMO cell, provide support and review of technical procurements, identify logistics requirements and coordinate logistic actions related to engineering projects. Additionally, the candidate will provide schedule inputs to the IMS and coordinate across functional teams to mitigate schedule conflicts. The candidate will help to prepare and provide input to technical documents, designs, and engineering processes that support the RTS modernization effort.

Responsibilities – What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Provide technical analysis and ensure procurements meet engineering requirements; manage procurements through all phases of the process.

  • Evaluates alternatives including cost and risk, supportability and analyses for total systems.

  • Provide inputs to the IMS and coordinate with the management and engineering teams to ensure delivery of requirements on time and on budget.

  • Provide technical inputs and analysis and engineering estimates (i.e. MTBF) to support design processes.

  • Perform systems requirements analysis, functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition, technical management, integration, system testing, and quality assurance.

  • Support the Physical Configuration Audit (PCA) and Functional Configuration Audit (FCA) for all modernization projects

  • Support the development of technical data packages, technical training plans, and engineering documents for final delivery to the customer.

  • Supervise a team of 3-5 employees and manage day-to-day operations of a PMO.

Required Experience, Skills, and Education – To Land This Gig You’ll Need:

  • BS and 8+ years of prior relevant experience of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years’ experience (additional experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree).

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education – Favorable if you have:

  • Prior experience supporting Reagan Test Site and DoD engineering efforts.

  • Knowledge of Army Space Operations and Requirements.

  • Experience with small team and peer leadership.

  • Basic skills with Microsoft Project, Visio, and other engineering tools.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders.

Clearance Required:

  • Must maintain DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $94,250.00 - $145,000.00 - $195,750.00
