We're seeking a Senior Manager, Editorial Strategy to drive the strategic creation, production and distribution of compelling editorial content that helps bring to life our corporate narrative, enhances our global presence as a leading biopharma and drives affinity for BMS among our key stakeholders. This role reports into the Director, Editorial Strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Create long- and short-form editorial content for BMS corporate digital and social media platforms (BMS.com, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram), coordinating with BMS’ Story Studio enterprise content team and the overarching Corporate Affairs teams to ensure alignment with BMS’ core business and communications goals.

• Pitch and create content that translates strategic business messaging into compelling storylines, editorial features, and a variety of content types and packages that reach and engage BMS’ target audiences.

• Research, develop, and analyze new creative editorial approaches with an eye toward increasing audience engagement and retention.

• Collaborate with Business & Insights Analytics team on content performance measurement across platforms and channels to identify actionable and content optimization opportunities.

• Maintain awareness and understanding of industry-leading editorial strategies and share lessons and insights with colleagues across Corporate Affairs to enhance editorial strategy and approach.

• Work cooperatively with agency partners and cross-functional teams to identify content development and integration opportunities to effectively amplify BMS’ story externally.

Qualifications & Experience

• 5-7 years of experience in editorial or content management in a corporate, media, or agency setting.

• Experience in the life sciences, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industries preferred.

• Excellent writing, editing and research skills, with knowledge of AP style and a keen attention to detail.

• Prior experience in establishing editorial plans and developing supporting creative content.

• Proficiency with use of social media platforms in a brand storytelling capacity, preferably with hands-on experience executing and optimizing editorial campaigns across digital channels.

• Robust experience in editorial strategy development spanning platforms, operating systems, and device types.

• Experience working with Content Management Systems (CMS) and project management tools.

• Experience with media taxonomy and content tagging.

• Ability to interact effectively with colleagues and counterparts at all levels of the company, both within the Corporate Communications team and across the larger matrixed organization.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Self-directed with proven ability to meet tight deadlines and balance multiple initiatives with competing priorities.

Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in marketing, communications or related field.
