Responsibilities:

  • Manage Quality Shared Services (QSS) staff in area of Operations Support - Investigations, Data Analysis and Trending and Training.
  • Direct and manage department metrics including monitoring and reporting of progression of all QC Investigations and CAPAs. Identifies and facilitates resolution of obstacles to timely completion. Evaluates data for system performance and development of presentations.
  • Provide technical and strategic leadership to QSS and serves as Subject Matter Expert in cross functional, cross departmental work teams and participates in the site team supporting and managing regulatory inspections and findings.
  • Accountable for data review, trending analyses and prepares protocols and reports to support all areas of laboratory operations, as applicable.
  • Establishes, maintains, and communicates team performance metrics, setting and maintaining high expectations for team performance.
  • Develops and implements SOPs for various QSS operational procedures including but not limited to: data analysis and trending, and training.
  • Recruit and develop a high performing team with diverse backgrounds and talents. Create an environment of continuous learning, improvement, and innovation. Coach and counsels team in execution of continuous improvement and self-development.
  • Develops and drives staff schedules to meet workflow demands and monitors expenditures to prevent budget overruns.
  • Participate on a variety of technical/strategic network teams in support of business process/improvements.
  • Perform review of regulatory dossiers as on needed basis.
  • Identify and drive business improvement projects on site/network.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of science generally attained through studies resulting in a BS in physical or life sciences (e.g., chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology or related discipline) or its equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a cGMP laboratory area with 3+ years of experience with management of laboratory personnel required preferred.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., US, EU, USP) and industry best practices. Prior experience supporting regulatory agency inspections preferred.
  • Strong general laboratory and organizational skills, effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, communication, and motivational skills with strong problem solving and analytical thinking skills. High attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in common computer software applications. Experience with Infinity Quality Management System, ARIBA , Maximo computer applications a plus.
  • Experience in building and growing an organization into a high performance team. Demonstrated capability of influencing in matrix environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and persuasively present new ideas to all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent presentation skills. Ability to effectively interact with cross-functional area management, outside customers and peer groups across various departments.
  • Creative problem solver.
