The Information and Data Architecture discipline has a vision to “enable frictionless flow and utilization of information and data across all BMS domains” and has a critical importance for Bristol Myers Squibb to enable a data-driven culture and fully harness the power of data. As part of the GPS Data & Analytic Enablement team the incumbent will be gain visibility into business processes and supporting data landscape for multiple functional areas such as (but not limited to) Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Manufacturing Quality, Product Development, etc.

Accountable for understanding the landscape of data needs in as a key link between business processes and information systems, creating and maintaining architectural artifacts, including data models and information blueprints. Act as key member of project delivery teams supporting the needs of the project while applying an enterprise mindset to developing data flow diagrams and data models.

Partner with IT Business Partners, Data Partners for insights and analytics, and broader community of Information/Data architects across the enterprise.

Drive the evolution of BMS Information architecture, adhering to information and data architecture principles in partnership with broader data architecture community.


  • Develop and maintain Information & Data architecture documentation
  • Develop and maintain Conceptual and Logical data models
  • Develop and maintain information flow and data interchange requirements
  • Document data lineage for cross-capability data exchange and transformation
  • Partner and collaborate with members of capability teams as well as enterprise platform teams
  • Support continuous evolution the use of Master and Reference Data Management
  • Support continuous evolution of Metadata Management

Skill Requirement:

  • 5 years’ experience with Information Technology and Information Management systems, delivering and supporting solutions for unmet business needs.
  • Knowledge of and experience of Data Modeling, application of Data Modeling concepts and techniques
  • Experience in working in geographically dispersed teams and virtual collaboration
  • Preferred prior experience in working in life sciences industry>


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or equivalent years of experience.
