The Talent Acquisition Event Lead is part of a global team responsible for the full life- cycle of talent acquisition activities for non Executive positions.
The Event Lead is responsible for the effective deployment of Bristol-Myers Squibb’s (BMS) Talent Acquisition (TA) Event Strategy, which includes partnering with business and HR leaders to ensure our presence and / or engagement at these events generates a robust pipeline of top talent for the Company. The Event Lead plays an active role in TA and Business led events and also provides consulting support to the PBRG’s for events they sponsor, lead and run.
Detailed Position Responsibilities
With respect to TA and Business Led events:
Produce project plan, timelines and milestones for event execution using appropriate tools and internal process documents
Partner with the Corporate Affairs, Legal, Employment Brand Team and TA Leads to develop and activate conference/booth presence to engage external candidates.
Lead all kick-off meetings to ensure full understanding of project requirement and delivery timeframes
Inform business leaders and TA leads of event sponsorship benefits related to TA, eg job posting, resume database, career fair.
Train TA and key stakeholders on topics such as: Brand Ambassadorship, Talent Ambassadorship and roles and responsibilities at conference
Ensure consistency of the BMS employment brand effectively partnering with event teams to multiply brand efforts.
Work closely with vendors to secure space, negotiate contracts and manage logistics to ensure strong representation of BMS employment brand.
Manage PO process for conferences and strategic partners
Ensure event design in appropriate technology
Manage all delegate communications – pre and post event - ensuring responses to all delegate queries are actioned in a timely manner and using appropriate technology
Lead post event review soliciting feedback and lessons learned for future incorporation
Provide input to ROI for each event to the event Leader (TA Strategy Lead or Business Leader depending on event) for his/her overall review
Ensure success measures, as defined by TWI, are captured and reported on event dashboard
Provide input to the Employer Brand Lead in TWI for his/her analysis of branding tactics to assess effectiveness and inform decision making on future investments and areas of opportunity.
Ensure continuous improvement of process and deployment initiatives
With respect to PBRG led events:
Provide guidance on best practice process and deployment
Experience Desired
5 + years’ experience in Talent Acquisition and / or Event Management, experience within a Pharmaceutical/Biotech environment strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts and partner with vendors to achieve operational excellence, and deliver on time, in full
Demonstrated ability to develop meaningful and long-term internal and external relationships
Demonstrated ability to simultaneously progress a variety of activities / events simultaneously to meet established performance goals
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate ideas and influence others to accomplish goals and objectives
Demonstrated ability to partner, manage and influence virtually
Strong analytical skills to collaborate on development and assessment of success measures for each event
Minimum Requirements/Knowledge Desired:
Bachelor’s Degree required + 5 years relevant experience
Consulting skills/ impact and influence abilities/ strong stakeholder management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills
The starting compensation for this job is a range from $109,00 to $138,000 plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility). The starting pay takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed. Final, individual compensation is decided based on demonstrated experience.
