The Digital Manufacturing team, part of BMS’ Global Manufacturing IT organization, is seeking a Technical Training specialist to meet evolving and growing needs for IT across the company’s digital manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will apply their technical knowledge and expertise to ensure employees and contract staff meet compliance and technical requirements relating to knowledge, skill, and practices necessary for her/his job performance and remain prepared to perform assigned tasks to directly support BMS’ worldwide manufacturing operations.

  • Good knowledge of technical training curriculum and design processes, and development of skills qualification programs 
  • Knowledge of SOPs and GxPs and the ability to work and manage within a regulated environment
  • Change management skills and an ability to simplify and improve business processes
  • Adaptable to a fast paced, complex, and ever-changing business environment
  • Good verbal and written communication, documentation, and technical writing skills
  • Demonstrated creative problem-solving skills under resource constraints and time pressure
  • Innovative and inquisitive nature to ask questions, offer bold ideas and challenge the status quo 
  • Agility to learn new tools and processes 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Training Team to design and implement the business process and training matrices to support cross training activities across the Digital Manufacturing teams
  • Implement comprehensive training programs - and being a champion for implementing learning-based training
  • Develop training materials and deliver training as required to meet requirements for technical training
  • Identify vendors to meet training needs and assist in managing vendor relationships
  • Apply knowledge of adult learning principles and biopharmaceutical/pharmaceutical production
  • Apply knowledge of e-learning concepts & software to create computer-based training programs
  • Independently identify and resolve complex problems through good decision making, utilizing functional & technical skills while demonstrating a compliance mindset
  • Assist customers in scheduling training activities, maintaining training records, and auditing compliance of training against the established schedules and curriculum
  • Provide guidance and information to end users on recommended training programs, curricula, and training material development, and learning assignments
  • Monitor and report on effectiveness of the existing solutions and changes to solutions when implemented
  • Develop and support revision of training procedure manuals, On the Job training content and course materials

Qualifications & Experience:

  • The candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree and a minimum 3-year progressive experience ideally in a GxP manufacturing environment
  • Good knowledge of technical training curriculum and design processes, and development of skills Qualification programs is essential
  • Minimum of 2 years experience of ELMS and eLearning tool

The starting compensation for this job is a range from $94,000 - $118,000 plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility).

The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and the geographic location where work is performed.

Final, individual compensation is decided commensurate with demonstrated experience.
