What you'll be doing...

As the Senior Manager of the In-Building Venue (IBV) Engineering team, you are a collaborative, innovative, influential and results-focused leader who is responsible for leading and managing a national execution team in the delivery of large scale indoor and outdoor wireless connectivity projects. You and your team are responsible for delivering on the national strategy and execution of sales-driven, revenue generating initiatives to expand 4G and 5G coverage for in building, venue and Private Wireless Network solutions.
You will have an opportunity to be a part of the continued transformation of the organization with the responsibility to lead and manage an experienced and highly motivated technical team of IBV engineers with responsibility for real estate, equipment, interconnect and construction.

  • Leading the team in the overall implementation and execution of revenue generating in-building projects for Verizon Business Group (VBG) throughout the national footprint to meet our customer promises, as measured by our Service Level Agreements (SLA) targets.
  • Determining cost effective construction build plans for each client with an eye towards leveraging opportunities to standardize and scale the program to deliver increased volumes year over year with a healthy month over month pipeline driving results.
  • Managing the team workload to meet critical deadlines for the implementation and construction of enterprise projects and provide innovative solutions for any complex problems that may arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Partnering with key stakeholder organizations, including VBG's Enterprise, Public Sector and Business Markets, as well as Network Assurance and the submarket engineering teams.
  • Collaborating with Product, Maintenance Engineering, Network Implementation, Network Planning, Network Assurance, Infrastructure Services and System Performance, to deliver new revenue generating products and the engineering work stream processes to deliver best in class service.
  • Performing as a functional leader driving the design and implementation of the latest technologies and create content showing progress and comfortably present information and risks to executives and senior leadership teams.
  • Knowing and learning new technologies and how they will be utilized in the success-based arena, as well as customer funded engagements with private On Site 4G/5G, MEC and In-Building Coverage (LTE+5G).
  • Partnering with Network Planning and Supply Chain on forecasts.
  • Assisting with defining VZ requirements for vendor roadmaps while continuously learning about new products for iDAS, ODAS, 5G and other CAT5/6 based in-building systems.
  • Ensuring smooth integration of new services and technologies into the network and handoff to the client and Network Assurance partners.
  • Providing guidance on cost and time effective transport solutions to meet Customer timelines, while delivering the best Customer Experience.
  • Driving Fuze SPM adoption and associated project milestones, to include trackers and dashboards that accurately depict health of the program.

*This position can be located out of any US based Verizon Hub location.*

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Technical field of study.
  • Experience leading an in-building submarket team with an understanding of Verizon's engineering processes, systems and work streams, including FUZE modules and FUZE Tracker.
  • Experience with 1ERP and the ability to navigate the multiple modules
  • Strong people leader with an ability to influence, grow and develop a team.
  • A collaborative leader with the ability to effectively handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Scrum Master certified or VLSS experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate innovative ways to resolve problems.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Experience leading complex projects requiring a high-level of stakeholder engagement across multiple organizations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and organize data and develop recommendations.
  • Knowledge of major DAS systems, DRAN, CAT5/CAT6 based systems, IP and Transport, LAA, CBRS and 5G architecture in enterprise deployments.
  • Knowledge of Real Estate Processes as it relates to Regulatory, Environmental, Permitting, Zoning and Leasing for Indoor and Outdoor Systems
  • Knowledge of new 5GUW including C-Band technologies, such as Corning, Samsung and Ericsson architecture in enterprise deployments.
  • Experience with 5G deployments on a virtualized environment utilizing Wind River Central Controller (WRCC).

If you are hired into a Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, or New York work location, the compensation range for this position is between $105,000.00 and $234,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more.
