Consulting Practice Manager

"This manager-level position is responsible for a segment within a given practice focused on a specific industry, service line, technology center, specialty area or region. Responsible for managing the three main pillars of a practice: people management, portfolio/delivery management and sales enablement. Has profit and loss responsibility or financial/expense management of practice.Accountable for operational/financial metrics and overall business results of practice. Responsible for maintaining practice direction, ensuring quality of consulting delivery, and maintaining customer referenceability. Ensures that operational policies are followed and that business objectives are achieved by focusing on best practices and process improvements. Develops plans to successfully implement operational policies and achieves business plan. Is accountable for managing and growing a revenue stream and customer base. Typically manages individual contributors. May serve as advisor for moderately complex engagements.8 years of experience relevant to this position including 4 years of consulting experience and 2 years of project management leadership experience. The Consulting Manager will work with the sales staff, other delivery personnel, partners, and sub-contractors to successfully scope and deliver customer solutions by leveraging the team of consultants. Practice Manager will manage and lead Consultants and solution architects for:1. Technical solution analysis, architecture, and design2. Delivery process definition (Implementation Strategies)3. Migration and Database Conversion planning4. Performance Optimization/automation/scripting5. Integration/Interoperability/automated TestingPrimary responsibilities of the Practice Manager is to lead the team to deliver:* Professional services for Oracle Communications Cloud Native (CN) based 5G core NFs (PCF, NRF, SCP, IWF, UDR, NSSF, SEPP, SLF, BSF, etc.) and 4G virtual diameter signaling router (vDSR) solutions including ATS (Automated Test Suit).* Services including initial system implementation design and architect, network integration, system provisioning, capacity analysis, special feature implementation, Test Plan creation and execution and CI/CD.* Service delivery activities include on-site and remote implementation of new systems, technical discussions, and explanations of proposed solutions with customers, development of methods of procedure and other documentation as required by the customer.* Create, maintain, and execute detailed Methods of Procedures (MOPs), Completion Notices (CNs), project plans, and schedules of activities and deliverables.* Design and Creation of use cases, call flows, policy rules, routing rules, and database query logic/scripts based on customers Business and Service Use Cases.* Support Pre-Sales activities such as demonstrations, trials, and Solution scope definition.* Participate in the design, delivery, and administration of a Mentorship program for Professional Services personnel and Partners.* Assist project managers with project planning and scheduling.*_Job Requirements_** Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and presentations skills.* Ability to interpret and develop detailed network/system drawing and excellent problem solving/analytical skills.* Knowledge & experience of data communications concepts of network architecture, TCP/IP Protocol suite, SNMP, NTP, Kafka streaming, Corba, JMS, and troubleshooting.* Knowledge & experience with VPN, IPSec, SCTP, TLS, IPv4, and IPv6, and Routing Protocols/technologies. Ansible Tower, Playbook, REST API knowledge is a plus.* Knowledge & experience with platforms framework and Operating Systems: Linux/Unix, Windows, Cloud Native (cn), Kubernetes (K8s), Grafana, Kibana, Jaeger, Jenkins, Selenium, HP Rack-mount server & Server Blade platform. CNE (OpenShift or VMWare or Oracle), Openstack, and Kubernates (K8s) certification preferred.* Strong Knowledge/experience 4G & 5G Technologies: Diameter (RFC 3588) protocol/applications/interfaces/http2, LTE/EPC/IMS architectures (PCRF, PCEF, MME, BBERF, CSCF, DRA, OCS, OFCS).* Knowledge & Experience of subscriber database technologies: HLR, HSS, SPR, EIR, ENUM, AAA, SDS, MySQL, DB query/scripting (pearl/python).* Must be a self-starter and able to work with the team with Field service experience in customer facing roles.* Ability to effectively deal with managing a team of consultants with multiple activities, competeing priorities, organizational skills and ability to perform under pressure in critical situations including critical cusotmers' escalations.* Willingness to travel up to 50%, for domestic and international travel and willing to work in shifts.* Strong oral and written communications skills and must be able to clearly and effectively communicate work status, risks, and issues.*_Education_** BS required, MS preferred in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.* 10 years experience in implementation of large scale service provider network infrastructures.* 7 years working in the services Architecture/Design/Consulting industry preferably in a team leading or consulting manager role.* Minimum of 10 years experience in the telecommunications industry with specialization in 5G/4G Core, LTE/EPC, diameter/http2 and a good exposure to network functions such as NRF, PCF, SCP, AMF, UDR, SEPP, NSSF, NEF, SEPP, and BSF.* CCNP or equivalent IP networking certification preferred.**Job:** **Consulting***Organization:** **Oracle***Title:** *Consulting Practice Manager***Location:** *United States***Requisition ID:** *21000FNB*"
