"Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.As a director of the software engineering division, you will apply your extensive knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and envision future improvements to the architecture.Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.The key responsibility for this person will be to help Architect the core data platform for Fusion data. This person will work on formalizing and rolling out data strategy and architecture to various fusion teams. They will develop low-level design documents. This person will work on building pipeline automation, CICD processes. This person should be pro-active in introducing new scalable pipeline enhancements, own a small part of the roadmap. This person will also architect pipeline monitoring, patching, and upgrade flows. They will work on building a comprehensive ER diagram explaining the relationships between various objects that are being created.This person is also responsible for recruiting talented team members into their team, define KPIs for tracking team performance, and help in mentoring, coaching them to achieve their goals. We work in a distributed team structure, matrix organization and with current remote working, this individual should be comfortable in getting the best from their team. They will actively develop and alter performance appraisals and continue to motivate the team in order to deliver at their best of their abilities. They will have to design training programs on all the relevant areas of interest for their teams.Requirements1. 12 years of working experience in any industry-standard data pipeline products like (ODI, Informatica, Ab Initio)2. Leading small to medium teams in the past.3. In-depth understanding of data modeling, data security, data snapshots, and aggregations, and data catalogs.4. A good understanding of ZDT based pipeline architectures5. A good understanding of any Cloud-based database, Cloud-native principals would be advantageous6. Hands-on experience working with Oracle Goldengate technologies and any streaming technology will be advantageous7. Good working knowledge of Oracle Database, Oracle Autonomous Database, DBMS packages, SQL, PL/SQL, Python, IntelliJ, and Java8. Exposure to open source technologies like Apache Flink, Apache Kafka, and any cloud environment.9.
