"**Lead DevOps Engineer****Preferred Qualifications**As a lead DevOps engineer and architect in the Fusion CX group, you will be part of core engineering team responsible for building an running cloud native microservices. These microservices are part of a larger eco system that drive Oracle's SaaS multi-billion dollars portfolio. While the immediate responsibility for this position focused on streamlining and executing Site Reliability Engineering and DevOps activities, you will be embedded as a part of global core engineering teams with opportunity to drive and/or contribute/influence services platform and architecture to improve observability, scalability, and reliability. In this role, you will also have opportunity to work closely with services development and Oracle cloud infrastructure (OCI) teams and over a period of time grow to be a resident expert to drive services platform design that closely align with OCI.**The Key responsibilities include but not limited:**+ Provide technical leadership to help drive improvements into services and platform observability and proactive monitoring+ Serve as a part of global 24x7 On Call rotation team to support microservices that is used by Oracle Enterprise customers to run their mission critical business applications like 24x7 Customer Service.+ Help identify and drive Performance, Scalability, and Reliability related optimization based on experience and learnings from the production incidents+ Act as escalation point for complex or critical issues that have not yet been documented as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).+ Utilize a deep understanding of service topology and the dependencies required to troubleshoot issues and define mitigations.+ Understand and explain the effect of product architecture decisions on systems.+ Identify problems and/or opportunities for improvements that are common across multiple services/teams.+ Professional curiosity and a desire to a develop deep understanding of services and technologies.+ Use your experience and wisdom from building & running systems to drive high availability, performance and operational improvements+ Use your excellent written & oral communication skills to ask pertinent questions, and to assess/aggregate/report the responses.+ Quickly grasp and analyze complex and rapidly changing systems+ Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders+ Etc, etc.**Required qualifications:**+ 10 year of experience working with full stack application administration, of which 3 years in solid experience managing and working with cloud native technologies and applications+ Deep understanding and hands-on experience with Cloud Native deployment and monitoring tools/technology with a expertise in areas like Kubernetes, Helm charts, container based deployment, Service Mesh, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.+ Strong technical acumen and customer focused+ Experience with SRE in supporting production and non-production environments for medium to large deployments+ Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in running and/or architecting Kafka, Java, Elastic, RDBMS based microservices+ Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve complex issues quickly+ Knowledge and hands-on experience in CI/CD design and automation to facilitate continuous delivery and deployment+ Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle is highly desirable+ Collaborative and aptitude to be a good team player to work with global teams+ Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills+ Experience in Agile/SCRUM enterprise-scale software development including working with GiT, JIRA, Confluence, etc.+ Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent related field experience**Detailed Description and Job Requirements**Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.As a member of the software engineering division, you will specify, design and implement major changes to existing software architecture. Create new architecture for a moderate size product or a portion of a major product. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to ensure consistency, testability and portability across products in general.Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes.
