What you’ll be doing...

We are looking to hire a Senior Software Developer for the Sales and Service technology team. As part of the Information Technology team, you will work on new technologies and find ways to meet our customer's needs and make it easy for them to do business with us on retail/digital channels/applications. You will use your experience to solve complex problems and find unique solutions. The work you’ll do every single day will make people’s lives better.

  • Leading small to midsize projects and regularly mentors staff members and peers.
  • Working as a technical lead for multiple Agile teams.
  • Performing project management activities such as planning, sizing, scheduling and tracking activities.
  • Analyzing problems, developing solutions and making decisions independently that impact overall projects and systems.
  • Ensuring software design and programming is done in accordance with the software quality assurance standards and system implementations occur in accordance with established Change Control procedures.
  • Designing, creating, and implementing Java-based applications.
  • Interpreting briefs to create high-quality coding that functions according to specifications.
  • Determining application functions and building objectives with the team.
  • Ensuring that written code falls in line with the project objectives.
  • Helping problem solving with other team members in the project.
  • Identifying and resolving immediate and potential issues with applications.
  • Communicating between Development and Business Ops team for Customer and User Experience issues/feedback.

Where you'll be working...

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including system analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation.
  • Experience in application development using JAVA, Spring Boot,REST APIs, IDEs, Oracle/ElasticSearch/ Spring Reactive.
  • Experience in UI development using React JS or comparable frameworks along with HTML and CS.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
  • Experience in application development using Postgres.
  • Experience in DevOps, Agile, Scrum and CI/CD pipeline.
  • Experience in DevOps Tools - GIT, Jenkins, JIRA, Test Driven development - JUnit, SonarCube.
  • Experience in designing and building large enterprise scale software solutions.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices in enterprise-class software development and agile methodology.
  • Knowledge of AWS and cloud platforms.
  • Experience in Microservices, Netflix OSS Stack, MQ, Public Cloud/AWS.
  • Experience in automation tools, continuous integration and delivery tools.
  • Experience in working and coordinating across geographically diverse software development teams.
  • Strong communication skills including technical writing and presentation.
