Job Description:

Currently, we have an opportunity for a Distribution Designer for electric utility engineering in our Earth City, MO office.

This position will be working with our growing Power Distribution Engineering team. This role will require leading other distribution engineers, oversight and QAQC of both simple and complex engineering projects, working directly with clients, and ensuring the Leidos reputation of high quality is maintained.

Distribution Designer Background requirements:

  • BS Degree with 2-4 years of experience, or relevant experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree
  • Execution of distribution projects from kickoff through design approved
  • QAQC expertise
  • Customer interaction
  • Process documentation
  • Experience with the NESC
  • (Local customer/job related travel is anticipated and will be reimbursed at IRS approved rates)
  • Candidate must provide their own reliable transportation

Distribution Designer Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience providing estimated costs, development of a BOM, calculating the CIAC
  • Experience with design tools such as Pole Foreman, O-Calc, Spida-Calc
  • Experience using AutoCAD--performing Electrical Distribution design
  • Experience with Joint Use and Colocation projects
  • Experience with rear to front lot conversion projects

Typical Day

10%-30% working with client remotely in office

60%-80% Engineering and development of design pkgs for customer

10% admin/planning/customer followup

Pay Range:

Pay Range $52,650.00 - $81,000.00 - $109,350.00
