Graphics Designer

Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Designer. This position is based at our Los Angeles, CA facility.​

With 270 employees, the Los Angeles facility designs and manufactures quality valves, regulators, and other fluid controls used mostly by the Aerospace Industry.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $75037.5 - $110055.0 a year.

The Designer is responsible for creating 3D CAD models of complex hydraulic components from hydraulic diagrams and in collaboration with project engineering team as well as preparing ICD, Final Assembly, subassembly, and detail drawings including Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing utilizing Creo Parametric CAD software. The Designer is required to learn Eaton design engineering standards for utilization in preparation of all models and drawings with minimal input from team.

What you’ll do:

  • Participate on project teams as required to coordinate between technical lead, Engineering, and Program Management to ensure the design meets design and internal and external customer requirements.
  • Ensure the successful completion of assigned projects to meet on time and budget commitments.
  • Provide technical support to all internal functions, external suppliers, and customers as it relates to our products.
  • Participate on multi-discipline concurrent development and corrective action teams as required.
  • Maintain project information and documents using an Engineering RAIL and Product Lifecycle Management tool. Prior use of Enovia (PLM tool) is not required but desirable.
  • In collaboration with the engineering team develop and maintain Design Standards for aid in design process.
  • Perform tolerance stack-up analyses.
  • Perform peer-check of engineering drawings.


Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the aerospace industry or on projects that utilized aerospace technology.
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office.
  • Fluency in the use of Creo Parametric (ProE) CAD software r prior use of similar CAD software.
  • Fluency in Geometric Dimensioning &Tolerancing IAW ASME Y14.5M-1994 or later.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the Los Angeles, CA (90039) facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
