Summary

Pearson is seeking a Senior Visual Designer to join our growing UX product design team. We are charged with designing next generation digital learning experiences for learners and educators. In this role, you will use your strong problem-solving, design thinking and interaction design skills to collaboratively bring to life truly delightful learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create elegant solutions to complex user flows across multiple business systems, with a truly global vision.
  • Define, communicate and publish a design system that documents the interaction patterns and visual design strategy including accessibility and mobile design.
  • Apply fundamental user experience, design and research principles to deliver intuitive and effective customer journeys; translate your findings into beautifully crafted mockups and prototypes.
  • Uplift our UX process maturity and set up user experience as a leading mechanism within the Product team.
  • Scopes, designs and leads execution of visual design research to validate the efficacy of our solutions.
  • Improve the customers’ experiences by understanding what’s important, measuring how we’re doing and driving priorities to improve.
  • Ensure design standards are adhered to and properly applied.
  • Establish and advocate for design principles and iterative design processes.
  • Generate innovative concepts that stretch the team’s thinking about what is possible.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in SaaS UX design and implementation
  • Demonstrated excellence in defining complex interaction patterns and documenting in a design system; a portfolio that demonstrates these abilities.
  • Expertise and passion around inclusive design.
  • Fluent in the end-to-end UX and UI design process; ability to work within established frameworks – but also push the boundaries to impact change!
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or equivalent tools.
  • Strong storyteller; professionally creates and structures their presentations.
  • Experience working with agile environment across multiple teams.

The anticipated starting salary range for Colorado-based individuals expressing interest in this position is 90K – 110K. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program.
