The Leidos Defense Group in Ridgecrest, CA is seeking a well-qualified and experienced Information Technology Security Engineer. This opportunity is associated with our Aircrew Electronic Warfare Tactical Training Range (AEWTTR) Program providing full system lifecycle support for complex Radar, Electronic Warfare, Instrumentation and Communications Systems for US and Allied Training and Test & Evaluation Ranges. The successful candidate will perform a wide range of functions managing and enforcing Information Technology (IT) Security, Cyber Security, Information Security (IS), Policy and Compliance, and related Risk Management for desktop and embedded computer systems.

Responsibilities – Work you’ll do:

  • Duties include deployment and maintenance of Windows and Linux operating systems used in both desktop and embedded environments.
  • Directing range user personnel in maintaining compliance with information assurance security requirements.
  • Obtaining and maintaining DoD Cyber Security ATOs.
  • Preparing and maintaining the appropriate documentation.
  • Applying patches and STIGs to Windows and Linux Operating Systems.
  • Preparing documentation and software for distribution to field technicians to install on fielded Windows and Linux based computers.

Required Experience, Skills, and Education:

  • Requires a BA/BS and 4+ years relevant experience (Additional experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree).
  • 4+ years of relevant experience related to Information Technology (IT) Security, Cyber Security, Information Security (IS), Policy and Compliance, and Risk Management for desktop and embedded computer systems.

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education – Favorable if you have:

  • Advanced knowledge, skills and experience related to Information Technology (IT) Security, Cyber Security, Information Security (IS), Policy and Compliance, and Risk Management. Advanced experience with Windows and Linux platforms in embedded environments, and Professional Cyber Security Certification is desired.

Clearance Required:

  • Must be able to maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
