Job Description:

Leidos is in search of an experienced IT Specialist to conduct technical support and serve as a primary asset manager for the 16th Air Force Mobile Applications & Gaming for Intelligent Courseware (MAGIC) program. You will support a software development studio of artists, programmers, and designers in creating “cutting edge” Virtual Reality (VR) and PC advanced training for the United States Air Force. Our client is a visionary leader that is bringing VR and digital training to the forefront of Air Force technical and specialty training for Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) analyst and operators around the world. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your skills to directly support U.S. Air Force virtual training.

As an IT Specialist, you will procure Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) hardware and software to build custom VR training kits, manage software version control, and account for inventory within a database tracking system. You will be responsible for developing a maintaining the data of the tracking system and by capturing shipment metrics, training utilization, and hardware lifecycle. Additionally, you will support Lead IT admin with troubleshooting IT issues for 40+ member team, ensuring resolution of problems and resolving technical issues with Leidos Central Information Office (CIO) team. Candidates must demonstrate excellent organization skills, problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to transcribe legacy data to new tracking system.

Position is an 80% teleworking environment. Applicant must be local to conduct weekly site visits to Joint Base Lackland, San Antonio TX.

Responsibilities:

  • Primary IT asset manager, hardware fulfillment operations, and manage distributed hardware.

  • Manage IT hardware in accordance with contract and Air Force Information Technology Asset Management regulation.

  • Support corporate and customer annual, periodic, or cyclic inventories and hardware allocations/relocations.

  • Create customizable tracking solution with an intuitive data presentation design.

  • Present management with weekly reports on deployment and asset management.

  • Assist in creating asset distribution policy, operating instructions, and provide deployment asset management guidance as needed.

  • Conduct software installations, setup and maintain VR hardware and equipment.

  • Work with development team to investigate and analyze system performance issues, find root causes, and initiate fix action.

  • Understanding customer requirements and effectively communicate issues.

  • Less than 10% travel may be required.

Requirements:

  • 15 years of testing experience creating and managing inventory tracking systems.

  • Bachelor’s degree desired.

  • Strong experience in Microsoft Excel, Access Database software and SharePoint.

  • Experience building inventory tracking solutions with data dashboard representation.

  • Strong work ethic that strives for continuous process improvement and efficiency.

  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving and organization skills.

  • Ability to work independently and within a distributed operational environment.

  • Must present detailed monthly inventory reports that provide a clear state of inventory for the customer.

  • Experience in a service desk environment, Content Management, Database Management and troubleshooting of networked IT systems is preferred

  • Understanding of automated Standard Desktop Configurations and installation processes.

  • Good communication, organizational, time management and interpersonal skills

  • Motivated, self-directed, personable with strong verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to obtain security clearance (requires US citizenship)

  • Ability to work in a dynamic cross-functional environment.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 - $135,000.00
