Position Summary
The Global Talent Pipeline & Sourcing Lead will lead a dynamic team to support strategic proactive pipelining and passive sourcing activities for executive positions globally across the enterprise. The Lead is responsible for developing and executing innovative talent strategies that will result in:
delivery of high-quality talent to meet current and future business demand
proactive executive talent engagement/pipelining to strengthen and deliver superior succession benches of top executive talent for future capabilities and top talent in advance of upcoming talent needs across the enterprise
superior and dynamic stakeholder and candidate experiences
delivery of competitive intelligence (market and talent insights) across all talent channels and presented to our talent and business partners
The Global Pipeline & Sourcing Lead and supporting team members will collaborate directly with leaders across the organization to understand their talent needs and will foster relationships that will enable us to anticipate their needs and create risk mitigation talent strategies to support the business. He/she will provide our business partners (Recruiters, Hiring Managers, HR Business Partners, Talent Management, COE Partners) with root causes and insightful analysis that paves the way to collaborate on recommendations and improvements. He/She will have strong experience with competitive intelligence and data and market analysis to help drive data-informed strategies and decision making. The Global Pipeline & Sourcing Lead is part of the Global Talent Acquisition team reporting to the Head of Executive Talent Acquisition & Strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the development and management of innovative sourcing channels that will deliver robust candidate pipelines utilizing various sourcing methodologies, channels, tools, and technologies.
Liaise with TA Leads, HR Business Partners, and Executive Recruiters to comprehend workforce and hiring demand plans to develop sourcing strategies to meet short-term strategic demand and future capabilities needed for BMS
Responsible for proactive talent pipelining and programs and succession planning for critical roles across the organization to support internal development and risk mitigation strategies
Advise business and HR leaders on long-term talent needs aligned to corporate strategy in partnership with Talent Management and Global Inclusion & Diversity partners. Spearheaded efforts to support and evolve Executive-level Inclusion & Diversity efforts across the enterprise
Provide sourcing expertise, market data and insights, and best practices to Talent Acquisition/Talent Management team members as well as other key stakeholders to share market intelligence related to industry trends and talent segments and bring forward innovative executive recruitment strategies
Support the development and evolution of the BMS employment brand to target executive candidate populations
Collaborate with TA Enablement groups to drive more effective processes that can simplify and accelerate projects and productivity within the team and across matrixed partnerships to produce strong business outcomes
Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders at all levels of a highly matrixed organization with the ability to work across cross-functional, cross-organizational teams and develop deep relationships with key stakeholders and has become a trusted advisor and executive recruitment partner to the organization
Experienced people manager that cultivates a team environment focused on inclusiveness and where employees feel free to bring their authentic selves to work. Adept with coaching, developing, and maintaining engagement to ensure delivery of all accountabilities across the team
Develop and implement talent pipeline strategies to identify high potential candidates, by utilizing all available candidate sources globally (LinkedIn, professional associations, conference programs, attendee lists, social media, etc.)
Manage the sourcing/talent pipelining volumes to support the Recruiters to ensure development and maintenance of robust, diverse candidate pipelines through competitive sourcing methodologies aligned to business strategy of high effort/high impact needs
Partner with People Services Service Management and Reporting Teams and/or HR Analytics to provide data and analysis for all reporting required
Responsible for data integrity within the Applicant Tracking, Candidate Relationship Management systems and other related tools
Actively sources, serving as a role model, and coaches Research/Sourcing team members (dependent upon demand) to support development of the overall sourcing and pipeline capabilities within the team
Coach and mentor team to own and excel in the ongoing talent pipeline relationship management responsibility by engaging high-quality passive talent to assess their drivers (timing, location, career aspirations) and fit for current or future positions at BMS to support proactive talent strategies to enable a robust external pipeline and succession planning strategy
Qualifications & Experience
10-15 years’ recruiting experience: with the most recent 5 years focused on recruiting/sourcing executive talent within a Pharmaceutical/Biotech environment
Expert level of knowledge of the strategic lifecycle of recruiting; including, but not limited to, sourcing, screening, candidate attraction, relationship building, reference checking and external networking
Experienced people manager with the ability to manage a team of professionals and work in a matrixed environment. Deep experience coaching, developing, and maintaining engagement to ensure delivery of all accountabilities across the team and operating as an inclusive and transparent people leader.
Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders at all levels of a highly matrixed organization with the ability to work across cross-functional, cross-organizational teams
Experience working with and presenting to executive level leadership teams with a strong executive presence
Demonstrated ability to effectively partner and collaborate with colleagues in the Centers of Expertise and peers in Talent Acquisition/Talent Management to deliver high quality executive talent for BMS
Demonstrated ability to develop meaningful and trusted relationships with all levels of an organization
Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage deadlines for a variety of active and proactive requisitions and pipeline priorities
Strong understanding of technology and experience using talent acquisition systems, including Applicant Tracking, Candidate Relationship Management, Artificial Intelligence, Social Media Platforms, and other predictive tools
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate ideas and influence others to accomplish goals and objectives
Demonstrated ability to synthesize ad hoc market intelligence data to provide information (talent market trend, threats, opportunity, etc.) to be used at business strategy level
Minimum Requirements/Knowledge Desired:
Bachelor’s Degree + 10 years relevant experience
Consulting skills/ impact and influence abilities/ strong stakeholder management skills
Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills with experience and inclination toward innovation and leveraging data and qualitative insights
