The Business Technology (BT) SOX Program Lead will be a key member of the Business Technology (BT) Compliance Team with the Technology Services & Cybersecurity team and report to the Director of BT Compliance.

The BT SOX Program Lead will be responsible for leading, managing, and optimizing our Company's BT SOX program. This role is responsible for ensuring SOX controls are designed, executed, and monitored effectively in partnership with Internal Audit, and Business Control functions.

This role can be remotely based anywhere in the U.S.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform risk assessment to define systems and key BT General Controls in scope for SOX 404 each year in partnership with Internal Audit & Controller organization.

• Design, implement & assess controls partnering with process owners to achieve successful implementation of controls for systems newly added to scope and existing systems.

• Process Improvement & Optimization - Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the quality and efficiency of our BT SOX program including limited repeat deficiencies and reduced cycle time.

• Communicate status, risks, issues, and deficiencies to various level stakeholders across the organization (from process owners to C-suite) to effectively reach desired outcomes.

• Partner with BT and Internal Audit to develop and execute against a roadmap to automate control testing as our geographies and scope increase.

• Communicating with Internal & External Audit management regarding testing status, audit issues and deadlines.

• Build and maintain effective relationships with the business areas, including understanding changes to BT processes and potential impact to the IT SOX environment.

• Broad understanding of the pharmaceutical / biotech industry and tying key risks to business outcomes.

• Nice to have – experience delivering digital solutions to stakeholders outside of BT.

Education Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree

Required Experience and Skills:

• At least 7 years of relevant experience in internal audit, external audit, and/or risk consulting.

• Describing key risks and impact in non-technical terms.
