Job Description

The Position

The Associate Director, U.S. Business Technology (BT) Market Access Technology Lead has the responsibility for our technology and data ecosystem. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the landscape that entities and persons to navigate to access our U.S. pharma and Medical Device products.

The candidate will work with cross-functional teams to guide the conceptualization, architecture, design, and delivery of solutions that leverage a mix of outsourced platforms and internal data and application solutions. In addition, the candidate will ensure operational integrity of this ecosystem. The role will report to the Associate Vice President, U.S. Commercial BT.


Responsibilities

  • Engage cross-functionally with Market Access & Account Management, Sales & Marketing, Compliance, Finance and Operations, to understand their unique needs. Provide technology solutions that not only meet but exceed expectations, adding incremental value to our offerings.

  • Elevate our existing technology strategy, focusing on contracting, pricing, order management, reimbursement, access and patient support. Lead the design, development, and management of a robust data technology platform to drive insights.

  • Ensure the efficient operations of our ecosystem, managing data, and implementing technology solutions that seamlessly support our market access and order management initiatives.

  • Accountable for data integration so that trends can be identified to inform revenue management, pricing, contracting, distribution and market access strategy decision making.

  • Patient support and experience programs are enhanced through digital enablement.

  • Be a thought leader, introducing innovations and emerging technologies with a focus on payer, provider and patient access, cost savings and scalable innovation.

  • Evaluate, select, and manage external technology vendors and partners and foster strong relationships.

Required Education Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, business management or related discipline with at least 7 years experience OR 10+ years relevant experience in IT, business, or management
  • At least 3 years' experience in pharmaceutical, medical device or healthcare industry

  • Proven ability to lead and promote collaboration across internal and external teams

  • Demonstrate experience of integrating data across platforms

  • Thorough knowledge of the software development life cycle and process improvement methodologies

  • Strong problem solving and demonstrated understanding of complex business processes

  • Motivational leadership without direct line management

  • Effective communication of complex technical information to stakeholders

  • Results-oriented with excellent planning and implementation skills.

Preferred Education Experience and Skills

  • Experience in product line/product owner role, SAFe certification a plus

  • Expertise in revenue management platforms, contracting and pricing platforms, gross-to-net solutions, and patient support solution

  • Strong vendor management skills
