Associate Director Business Technology – SAP Treasury

This role can be executed from Lisbon or Mumbai.

Purpose of the role

In this position, you will be responsible for providing technical support to the Corporate Treasury team. You will be a key contributor and member of the Business Technology Team, working within Record to Report. You will support the current deployment of the S4 TMS (Treasury Management System), that will soon replace legacy applications used for Treasury functions. The role will require deep functional and technical knowledge of S4, especially the Treasury related components, including In-House cash, intercompany payments, netting, bank account and communication management, FX, loans, interest calculation and market data integration. The role will be both customer facing and requiring coordination with other workstreams and Global support functions. It should provide Treasury leadership to help resolve difficult scenarios, build relationships with business partners, and ensure that the solution meets business requirements.

Main responsibilities

• Serve as the Technology Lead and trusted advisor to our Treasury and Finance Business Partners as we implement the Treasury Management solution.
• Find opportunities to bring efficiencies and improvements in business processes in the area of Corporate Treasury.
• Support the Treasury management system which includes Bank account and Communication management, In House Cash, Netting, Intercompany payments, Lockbox processing, Bank Communication Management, Bank Statements, Interest calculations, FX and Investments. Deep subject matter and technical knowledge are both required in many of these areas.
• Manage defect resolution and incident management as well as post go live enhancement requests.
• Participate hands-on in the test activities (SIT, UAT), support the cutover, and manage post go-live hyper care; lead any project management activities from time to time.
• Limited international travel to UK, NL (approx. 10%) may be required to meet colleagues at these locations.

Your profile

• Bachelor’s / master’s degree in finance, Business, Accounting or Economics discipline.
• At least 5-8 years of progressive and relevant experience in supporting Corporate Treasury functions.
• Demonstrated experience working with Treasury applications in a hands-on support role.
• In depth knowledge and expertise of banking functions and operations.
• Motivated, innovative thinker able to evaluate business processes for data driven insights and analysis.
• Prior experience with SAP Bank Communication Management (BCM), SAP Treasury & Risk Management (TRM) and/or SAP S/4 HANA Cash Management (CM) desirable.
• Knowledge and experience with SAP Finance Modules (preferably in an S4 HANA environment).
• Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter with ability to operate independently, drive process improvements.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English, with all levels in the organization.
