"**Sales Skills Programs Director****Preferred Qualifications****Overview**We are looking for an experienced sales training Director or sales enablement professional who is passionate about sales skills and successfully leverages this experience to create a global enablement standard across skills training. Ideally you will have 10 years of experience in sales training roles and/or sales enablement and demonstrative learning development and leadership experience with strong stakeholder management. A consultative approach and a good understanding of the process and requirements of sales skills training. Experience with formal sales methodologies would also be beneficial.**Qualifications**+ Knowledge and experience of training in core sales skills, including but not limited to: Discovery, Qualification, Demoing, Value Selling, Presentation, Financial Acumen and Negotiation+ Knowledge and experience of Social, Digital and Virtual Selling training programs+ Experience in managing and driving change programs, interacting and influencing senior level stakeholders+ Consultative approach to identifying, assessing and prioritizing requirements+ Strong communication (written and verbal), presentation and facilitation skills+ Flexibility, agility and problem solving skills to operate in a dynamic environment+ 10 years professional sales and/or sales management experience/learning & development+ Experience working with Instructional Designers and Developers to create eLearning and in-person training courses and materials+ Experience of managing a program office or team would be advantageous+ Degree level qualification minimum and relevant training qualifications would be an advantage**Capabilities**+ Ability to handle diverse groups of employees, including an international audience+ Ability to establish credibility and create confidence quickly and easily+ Excellent organizational skills, ability to effectively prioritize and strong attention to detail to meet deadlines+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills: particularly on needs analysis, positioning and business justification+ Ability to persuade others through high quality presentations, demonstrations, and written communication+ Ability to multi-task and superior time-management skills**Who Youll Work With**+ The role is highly collaborative and will include liaising with the OSPA regional performance partners, facilitators and regional sales leadership to understand the specific requirements and business priorities from the regions, translating this into an enablement path that successfully addresses them+ Youll work with internal OSPA groups and leadership to align, plan and execute delivery of the plan+ Youll lead a global community for sales skills that will encompass business stakeholders and regional partners+ You will manage and coach a Team of Sales Skills Program Owners**What Youll Do**+ Build and maintain an enablement path and roadmap for sales skills that aligns the business needs and internal OSPA programs to ensure the global community is fully supported for skills within the overall employee lifecycle+ Understand business requirements and KPIs and be able to transform and create a skills enablement strategy that effectively supports the metrics through gap and impact analysis+ Will be actively involved in the creation and updating of the sales skills training programs leveraging expertise and business input from key stakeholders (internal and external to OSPA)+ Drive adoption of new and existing sales skills programs and integration opportunities to blend skills training into other forms of learning such as solution (product), methods and systems training+ Be the recognized point of contact for direction and specialist knowledge on sales skills training lifecycle to both the individual contributor and Manager communities and other stakeholders+ Link sales skills competencies and proficiency levels to curriculum and OSPA badging; defining what great looks like for sales skills across role specializations through documented best practice and benchmarking+ Ensure that sales skills training and enablement programs and initiatives meet the business needs of Managers and support their ability to lead and coach others on them**Summary**The Skills Programs Director will be responsible for creating a sales skills enablement path for the community that encompasses all aspects of sales skills, including but not limited to: Discovery, Qualification, Demoing, Value Selling, Presentation, Financial Acumen and Negotiation throughout the customer engagement lifecycle.Within each of these disciplines, the Skills Programs Director needs to understand the requirements for each to enable individuals to achieve the best performance.Will continuously maintain and improve this learning path, evolving the model and presenting the results and actions that have been achieved to OSPA leadership. A key activity for this role will be to work with the global program leads to leverage and ensure that the OSPA learning portfolio reflects business needs, and that the path created effectively maximizes utilization of internal resources and learning programs.This will be a leading contributor individually, as a Manager, and as a team member that will provide direction and mentoring to regional OSPA teams regarding sales skills. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills and sales skills in areas of specialization. The role should be recognized as a subject-matter expert within Oracle requiring excellent presentation, communication and writing skills.#LI-KA1**Detailed Description and Job Requirements**Manages the development, establishment and direction of regional, role based, or line of business sales training strategies and policies to enable optimal productivity of the sales organization. Responsible for managing the design, development and deployment of product, process and skills enablement programs that drive elite sales performance within Oracle's global sales organization.Determines and evaluates sales training needs for the organization. Develops and directs the build of sales training curriculum and programs. Organizes and manages sales training sessions. Facilitates formal and informal presentations to senior management, sales organization, and other internal functions as appropriate. May work with other Oracle team to incorporate corporate or regional strategy into training curriculum. Provides guidance within the sales organization and shares best practices. Analyzes performance of sales personnel to determine need for additional training. May oversee a staff of sales trainers and/or Sales Performance Designers and others. Keeps informed of new training methods and techniques.Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations is important. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills preferred. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Bachelors or equivalent years of professional experience preferred. Provide input to the program development team to ensure the development of accurate and timely courseware to support global and regional goals. Manage training resources and other Oracle personnel and third-parties performing the roles of subject matter experts for global curriculum development or delivery in region.
