"**Director of Domestic Tax****Preferred Qualifications****POSITION OVERVIEW:**The Director of Domestic Tax will be primarily responsible for managing the preparation and review of all U.S. federal income tax calculations, tax forms, and provision for income taxes. This position will also help identify U.S. federal tax planning opportunities and make recommendations. The qualified candidate will possess excellent people skills with an ability and willingness to identify areas to assist the team. Strategic thinking and diligence is critical as you will interact with finance, legal and business partners to ensure timely and accurate tax reporting.**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**+ Manage the preparation and review of U.S. federal income tax calculations and forms+ Manage the preparation and review of the U.S. federal income tax provision, including FIN 48+ Thoroughly and accurately analyze the U.S. federal income tax information to identify planning opportunities+ Drive process improvements to achieve operational efficiencies+ Analyze the impact of tax legislation changes to the Company+ Prepare annual cash tax forecasts+ Manage annual global R&D credit studies and corresponding calculations+ Assist with audit support and documentation, including but not limited to IDR requests+ Develop relationships with and mentor managers, junior staff, and interns**PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**+ Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. CPA and/or Masters in Tax is preferred+ 10 years of relevant tax experience, with a heavy emphasis on US federal income tax compliance, income tax accounting, and US federal and state R&D credit+ Strong tax research skills+ Strong managerial skills with the ability to effectively manage both internal and external resources+ Roll-up the sleeves attitude+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills+ High Tech corporate tax experience preferred+ Organize and summarize information in a clear and concise manner specifically tailored for the intended reader/listener+ Simultaneously manage multiple projects. Adapt to and re-prioritize projects based on changing conditions.+ Deep proficiency using Microsoft Office+ Knowledge of the Corptax software preferred#LI-KA1**Detailed Description and Job Requirements**Manage and coordinate internal and external resources to implement company tax savings strategies. Ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns. Manages a professional staff.Be an integral partner in Oracle's business decisions to enhance shareholder value by providing tax-related advice globally to all business units. Develop and implement systems to compile information for various federal, state, local, and international reports. Represent the company on tax matters in government, professional, and industry associations. Performs or directs research; analysis and interpretation of federal, state, and local statutes. Manages and oversees international tax laws and regulations. May be involved with tax implications of mergers and acquisitions.Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations. Maintain current knowledge of all tax laws affecting Oracle. Strong business and tax technical skills needed. Detail oriented, analytical, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment. Ability to work with outside advisors. Experience with computer tax systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated leadership and project management skills. Experience in public accounting firm and/or high technology industry. BA/BS in Accounting or Finance.
