Organon - Business Technology Risk Management & Security (BTRMS) - Associate Director, Information Services ( MERCUSR85390ENUS)
The Security Information Services Lead will be a key member of the Security Operations Center (SOC) team with the Business Technology Risk Management & Security (BTRMS) organization and report to the Security Operations Center Lead.
The position will manage activities involving, but not limited to, overseeing the Splunk platform, and analyzing cyber threats and trends.
Primary Activities/ responsibilities include:
Ensure the Splunk software platform is functioning properly, according to vendor specifications and guidelines, and is aligned with any configuration settings specified to the SOC Managed Services Provider
Manage activities to maintain the Splunk software platform by keeping up to date with the latest software patches, updates, and upgrades
Provide quality control over team products; assist with drafting, editing, critiquing, and proofreading threat intelligence estimates, briefs, assessments, and memorandums
Manage activities to collect and monitor external threat information
Participate in intelligence sharing and develop industry contacts to enhance intelligence sharing and best practices
Develop close working partnerships with functional senior leaders to ensure threat intelligence analysis and products are mapped to prioritized corporate assets and risks
Respond to high-priority requests for information/intelligence from senior stakeholders
Minimum Education Requirement:
Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or technology discipline
Minimum Experience Requirement:
Minimum of 7 years of experience working within the cyber, incident response and digital forensics, security engineering, security operations, computer network operations, information operations, information warfare, or topical cyber
Demonstrated experience supporting Splunk software platform in a large corporation
Demonstrated analytic expertise – to include the ability to think critically and logically in a dynamic, high-pressure, fast-paced environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Adaptable, willing to learn, and ready to grow in a changing environment
