Job Description:
The Defense Health Operation of Leidos is currently looking for Information Technology Support for the Operations Department at the Naval Submarine Medical Research Laboratory (NSMRL) in Groton, CT. NSMRL conducts research and investigates the effects of medical, psychological, and performance issues associated with the health and performance of naval personnel in operational and non-operational settings.
Primary Responsibilities
The ideal candidate shall:
Maintain compliance with applicable security protocols.
Transfer paper-based records from external sources onto computerized systems.
Provide command Information Technology support duties as directed.
Man IT trouble call desk and work with customers in the laboratory on routine trouble calls.
Assist in installing, transferring, or removing computers on the network, within the laboratory.
Assist in imaging, troubleshooting, and resolving simple to moderate issues with desktop and/or laptop units.
Support Information Technology staff with developing procurement requests, track acquisitions to receipt.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science and 0-2 years of prior relevant experience preferred; however, significant IT-related experience may be considered in lieu of education.
Ability to routinely lift and carry up to 25 lbs. and climb stairs. Work may involve bending, stooping, and working in confined areas;
Microsoft Office skills
COMP TIA Security+ Certification is required within 6 months of employment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience within a Government or military organization.
