Job Summary

Purpose and Scope:


Manage divisional websites and related communications systems, both internal and external to the company. This includes design, development, maintenance, and coordinating with other web designers and developers as needed.

Essential Responsibilities:
1.Facilitate cross-business and cross departmental communication in order to achieve company goals in a web related context. This includes bringing sites in alignment with company branding standards, as well as assisting Content Managers in bringing their ideas and materials to the web.

2.Responsible for external sites web server. Make changes to web server as needed in order to support various web technologies.

3.Responsible for distribution, posting, and retention of applicable policies and procedures via electronic media.

4.Support SharePoint activities as required including design, development, maintenance and coordination.

5.Support mass communication requirements as related to electronic media and social networking initiatives as required.

6.Manage Intranet and/or associate sites within the Amentum single intranet, including design, development, and maintenance.

7.Control Intranet user permissions in both Active Directory and local security groups and provides users with technical support related to Intranet access and use.

8.Support Internet-facing websites by coordinating with other web administrators or project managers. Provide design/development assistance as needed.

9.Responsible for resolving issues with internet-facing and intranet web servers related to web services and web technology support, where issues do not overlap with the System Administrator responsibilities.

10.Work with Corporate Communications and Corporate IT to implement branding, design, and content changes on the both public facing and internally facing websites.

11.Design and maintain various additional internal and external facing divisional websites.

12.Responsible for migration and maintenance of Intranet related content within a Microsoft SharePoint platform.

13.Design templates, deliver and support Company mass electronic communications and announcements. Provide technical support and guidance as needed.

14.Responsible for management of the Issue-Tracking system, patching, upgrades, and custom html development.


Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must posses planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.

Minimum Requirements

A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent work experience and 3-5 years experience in website design and development. Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Dreamweaver, SharePoint Designer, IIS, and current web technologies. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Position will require some travel. May require the ability to pass and maintain a security clearance.
