As the owner of the CVENT relationships for the organization, responsibilities include end-to-end CVENT global operations, planning, and strategy related to HCP meetings and events. This position has a high profile and impact as the CVENT vendor partnership is embed in >30,000+ global events of varying sizes.

As the subject matter expert for the CVENT platform this role requires internal stakeholder management, close alignment with key partners at CVENT and across the BMS ecosystem (Transparency, IT, Compliance). The individual in this role will be tasked with the development of roadmap for Cvent system enhancement, creating and monitoring Service Level Agreements (SLAs), documenting and training of Cvent system, as well as defining, publishing and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPI). The role will also provide direct ownership of key projects while delivering support for the strategic and functional leadership around the Cvent enterprise system with attention to delivering a simplified user experience. This role will partner within the broader Omnichannel team to enhance the end-to-end meetings and events experience.

  • Lead matrix teams across the globe with effective utilization of CVENT including (but not limited to); HCP registration and logistics processes, defining transformational and continuous improvement initiatives based on company goals, industry trends and analytical rigor.
  • Develop, manage, monitor and continuously evolve a series of aligned KPI’s/SLA’s to effect continuous improvement of the system, processes and both user and HCP experience.
  • Be the project lead and figurehead for the utilization of CVENT for BMS.
  • Build a network of relationships, working directly with local and regional, internal and external contacts to define the Cvent roadmap and capabilities required to meet the demand and foster forward-looking innovation. Share insights with related forums & groups to establish a common understanding and purpose.
  • Establishment of governance framework for CVENT and optimize operational processes. Monitor and manage ongoing performance of BMS users and the CVENT platform, leading a regular cadence of meetings, and taking actions on associated follow-ups.
  • Lead regular business reviews with BMS’s Partners (Cvent, Agency Partners etc.), utilizing Stakeholder/Partner feedback, KPI and SLA performance to drive efficiency, process optimization and improve data quality.
  • Continuously improve data quality of the system, identify the root cause of any errors and ensure the responsibility for developing and implementing solutions is correctly identified and aligned.
  • Leading the development of best practice and knowledge sharing initiatives across the events management team (Events and Meetings Center of Excellence - EMCoE), Congress environment and the users of the CVENT platform. Steer the matrix teams towards greater efficiency, one common process and increased flexibility
  • Lead implementation efforts to design and deploy CVENT system and process improvement by understanding the Cvent user experience and working with Congress Management, EMCOE, Transparency, and IT matrix partners (including simplification of associated processes)
  • Partner with the transparency team to ensure timely and accurate capture of “transfer of value” (TOV) data and work with the IT partners to ensure any errors are identified, root cause established, reported and fixed.
  • Proactively communicate capabilities to all key internal stakeholders including WW Events and Meetings, Omnichannel leadership, Compliance, Transparency, IT etc. through the most appropriate channel to ensure BMS stakeholders are operating efficiently, knowledgably, and compliantly.
  • Partner with related matrix process and system owners to improve the overall HCP registration experience
  • Lead change management for operational capabilities across any market or event where CVENT is utilized and ensures success through a combination of systemized and ad-hoc, proactive and reactive communication, training mediums and modalities


  • Business or Technical undergraduate degree, master’s degree desirable
  • 3+ years professional experience in the Pharmaceutical, IT or Consulting practices
  • Must have extensive experience with the Cvent platform specifically administrator experience supporting Cvent in a large enterprise
  • Experience with the Veeva Events platform is highly desirable
  • Experience defining and driving global initiatives from concept through close-out
  • Experience owning enterprise systems and leading large-scale process and system related change initiatives
  • A proven track record of effectively and efficiently driving performance within a matrix organization and a strong ability to build alignment and work collaboratively with others
  • Exceptional knowledge analyzing business processes, quantitative and analytical skills
  • Authoring procedural documents (SOPs, work instructions, job aids) and coordinating reviews/approvals
  • Developing and conducting training and/or mentoring team members on key activities and processes
  • Project management experience with the proven ability to prioritize, handle risk, control costs, adhere to timelines and manage project teams
  • Expertise of Global HCP processes to act as subject matter expert (SME) across the following areas: the Cvent application, Meeting Planning and Management, Reporting, Data validation, and able to form strong partnerships with Legal, Regulatory, Compliance, Transparency Reporting team
  • Establish effective working relationships and communication with Senior Leadership, key stakeholders and team with a focus on change agility and an enterprise mindset
  • Exceptional influencing skills are necessary, especially when engaging executives with strategy related decisions
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to assess and promptly resolve problems. Must demonstrate a curiosity mindset and ability to understand nuances in local vs global needs/processes and requirements
