What you will do:

As Sr. Manager of Digital Technology Partnerships, you will be a core member of the Digital Health Strategy Office. You will be in charge of developing and executing the process for researching, assessing, prioritizing, and managing digital technology partnerships that align with the DRE digital strategy. Activities include:

  • Identify the digital health strategic technology gaps within DRE or internal business partners
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts in defining the technology requirements and prioritization criteria
  • Research digital health technologies and vendor options and conduct deep dive technology assessments
  • Recommend digital health technology vendor partners and collaborate with legal and BD in negotiating partnership agreements
  • Coordinate with DRE digital teams in integration of selected digital health technology partners within DRE digital infrastructure
  • Coordinate with Division digital teams in setting up digital health technology demonstrations and facilitating commercial implementations
  • Manage ongoing digital health technology partner relationships, contract compliance, and roadmaps for future development and expansion needs
  • Participate in diligence related to digital health technology acquisition process when applicable
  • Seek and maintain relationships with potential external inventors, venture firms, and digital health technology incubator organizations
  • Develop long-term strategies for Stryker entry into adjacent and white space markets that advance the enterprise-side digital health technology strategic plan
  • Attend digital health conferences to assess new technologies, alliance opportunities, and competitive threats
  • Drive the tone of “division is a customer,” accountability & transparency through all interactions & transactions.
  • Create a transparent, collaborative environment which supports the sharing of expertise, information, and resources.

What you need:

  • 10+ years professional experience in R&D, strategy, business development, or similar function related to digital health technology portfolio management. Background in MedTech healthcare products and medical devices is a plus.
  • 6+ years global and cross divisional collaboration experience, preferably within a decentralized, matrixed environment, and bring experience interacting with business leaders including internationally.
  • You have demonstrated success in assessing, executing, and managing strategic digital technology partnerships.
  • You have demonstrated deep understanding of and experience with the major stakeholders in the healthcare industry and digital health ecosystem.
  • You are experienced in building, leading, and managing strong, complex, collaborative business relationships, both inside the company and in a healthcare setting (e.g. with clinicians, hospital administrators, hospital IT).
  • You are known for your strong analytical skills, strategic thinking skills including how technologies work together and how to set up strategic partnership relationships with aligned value propositions.
  • You have demonstrated strong communication skills, including executive presentation skills and the ability to influence leaders within Stryker and external customer stakeholders.
  • You have a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree and are fluent in English.
  • Identify digital health strategic technology gaps and vendor partnership opportunities that align with the DRE digital strategic plan or cross-division digital strategic priorities
  • Collaborate with DRE digital and division SMEs in defining the technology requirements and prioritization procedures
  • Research digital health technologies and vendor options and conduct deep dive technology assessment in collaboration with DRE digital and division SMEs
  • Recommend digital health technology vendor partners and collaborate with legal and BD in negotiating partnership agreements
  • Coordinate with DRE digital teams in integration of selected digital health technology partners within DRE digital infrastructure
  • Coordinate with Division digital teams in setting up digital health technology demonstrations and facilitating commercial implementations
